First, the boilerplate:

Howdy, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for your contribution. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page (below).

Thanks for your contribution to Harriet Wilson. As you've probably noticed, African-American topics are sadly underrepresented on Wikipedia, despite the fine work of editors like User:Alabamaboy. If you're interested in continuing to work on these topics, I recommend checking out Wikiproject: Countering systemic bias, which acts as a gathering point for concerned folks. But most of all, have fun, and happy editing! --Dvyost 13:43, 26 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

James Cameron (Black Holocaust Museum)[edit]

Hi! I started an article about James Cameron (Black Holocaust Museum). Actually, it is just a stub. Feel fre to expanded it. Someone had to restart the article. Thank you RFD 17:59, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Harrison Ford[edit]

You probably have valid reasons for pruning comments out of the Harrison Ford (Silent Actor) category, but if anything resembling opinion or anecdote is cut his life looks quite barren, which is a shame for a man of considerable talent.Saxophobia 02:23, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to let this subject drop, at least for the moment, but I get the impression that you have never encountered Harrison Ford (I) in a picture, and probably will not- which is a shame. You should see one of his pictures- I'd suggest "The Primitive Lover" in which he stars with Constance Talmadge, another unfairly forgotten star. It's the most easily available film on video for either of them. I do find it odd that on other stars and other subjects, possibly more contemporary ones, writers can gush on here expending many hundreds of words. I'm not exactly angry, just puzzled, and a bit saddened.Saxophobia 01:32, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Big Valley show[edit]

Was it in color format from the beginning? Dogru144 17:42, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your reply / Talk page[edit]

Thanks for your reply. Actually, replies, discussion go on the Talk page, with "discussion" tabe at the top of the page. The User him/herself is supposed to edit their own "user page." Thanks again for the reply. I guess we had a black and white TV for the whole time that I saw the show. I saw probably everything in the 70s on black and white, Brady Bunch and so on.Dogru144 00:05, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Cornelius Roosevelt[edit]

A tag has been placed on Cornelius Roosevelt requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. --Michael WhiteT·C 16:36, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Cornelius Roosevelt[edit]

I have nominated Cornelius Roosevelt, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cornelius Roosevelt. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. --Michael WhiteT·C 23:41, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Ladydayelle! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 941 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Susan Roosevelt Weld - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:52, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Ladydayelle. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Vera Fokina".
