Disambiguation link notification for September 23[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited D Double E, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Grime (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:24, 23 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Please stop inserting half an infobox on this page. It's broken formatting, you haven't sourced anything, and it's not notable per WP:NALBUMS. Thank you. Ss112 12:29, 23 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Genre changes[edit]

Information icon Hello. Some of your recent genre changes, such as the one you made to Thank Me Later, have conflicted with our neutral point of view and verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you seek consensus for certain edits by discussing the matter on the article's talk page. Thank you. Dan56 (talk) 14:03, 25 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

October 2018[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Recent edit to Usher discography[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you removed some content from Usher discography without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Deptford[edit]

Thanks for getting involved in Wikipedia, your efforts are appreciated. I just wanted to let you know that I rolled back your two edits on Deptford because of MOS:OVERLINK and MOS:COMPASS - that is, we generally recommend not linking well known cities such as London in order to not overload an article with too many links, and in the same sentence just a few words later we have a link to London Borough of Lewisham which provides closer detail on the immediate area for those who wish to know more; we also - as a house style - recommend not using capitals on compass points unless they form part of a name, and in this case there is no formal South East London - it is just a general description of an area, so southeast London is the recommended name. I would normally have put an abbreviated form of this in an edit summary, but I used rollback (something I rarely do) and forgot that it doesn't allow you to put in an edit summary! Keep editing! SilkTork (talk) 10:09, 30 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Acton, London[edit]

I have reverted your edit [1] where you have continued to MOS:OVERLINK after being given advice by SilkTork that it is not recommended. Please use talk to explain why you think the manual of style should be ignored.SovalValtos (talk) 11:39, 30 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring[edit]

Making a mistake in using Wikipedia's house style is understandable and forgivable; but when those mistakes have been corrected, and an explanation given to you, you should not revert back to your individual preference as you have done here: [2]. Such behaviour is referred to as Wikipedia:Edit warring. As a rule of thumb on Wikipedia, never revert someone's correction of your edits without first speaking to them to find out what the issue is, and then getting an agreement that you were in the right. Edit warring is regarded as disruptive behaviour (even when you are in the right - see WP:3RR), and may lead to sanctions such as blocking.

I am currently going through and cleaning up your overlinking and MOS errors; if you wish to help out by reverting your own edits, that would be much appreciated, and would reflect positively on you. SilkTork (talk) 17:47, 30 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Adding unsourced content to BLP[edit]

While cleaning up your recent edits I came upon this: [3]. You added some unsourced material to a biography of living person, what we call a WP:BLP. In itself a small thing, but we do take great care with BLPs because of the harm that can be caused when we get it wrong, so all material added to a BLP must be cited to a reliable source, and I note that you have been warned and blocked for adding unsourced content in the past, and yet continued to add unsourced content after your block, and despite getting further warnings. As such I cannot let this incident pass. I am blocking you for one week. When you return you must edit within our guidelines and policies. SilkTork (talk) 18:22, 30 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
