A tag has been placed on Image:Elizabeth Hurley in 2007.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Elizabeth Hurley in 2007.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Image source problem with Image:Liz Hurley in 2007.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Liz Hurley in 2007.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 11:00, 10 April 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Genisock2 (talk) 11:00, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Liz Hurley pic[edit]

I have reverted your 2008 Liz Hurley picture. Revealing cleavage pictures are generally deprocated in wiki articles. Head and shoulder photos are preferred where available, and they are 21stCenturyGreenstuff (talk) 17:52, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You cannot keep adding photos with copyright status, they will all be deleted as you are already finding. You must add a fair use rationale to the licence when uploading pictures and to be honest the type of pictures you are accessing will rarely be accepted for wiki use. You are wasting a lot of effort on a task that will fail I am afraid. 21stCenturyGreenstuff (talk) 18:06, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It is OK you can answer here, I am watching your talk page. Finding photographs that are free of copyright is VERY difficult and most that you will find on the internet will be copyrighted. That is why so many wikipedia articles have no photographs on them. Often the only photographs that become used are those that are taken by fans with their own cameras, as they can claim they have ownership.

All I can suggest is that you click on a few photographs that do exist and click on edit...don't change anything, but make a careful note of the justification wording that supports a 'fair use rationale' and then use similar words when uploading your pictures. However, if there are Wiki Commons photos available it is unlikely that new fair use ones would be accepted. This may seem unfair but Wikipedia is VERY careful not to override any copyrights to prevent future legal actions.

An example of a non-fair use rationale can be found here [[1]] DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING. This is one I built for a copyrighted theatre show cover, but similar words would be needed for a photo. 21stCenturyGreenstuff (talk) 18:27, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Copyrighted images[edit]

I notice that you have uploaded a number of copyrighted images of people, please read Wikipedia:Non-free content and note that if the subject is still alive then the use of a copyrighted image is not normally allowed. Unless you think the image is an exception to the rule (and none of the ones so far have been) then can you please stop uploading such images as it just creates work for others to delete them again. Thanks. MilborneOne (talk) 18:37, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Pet Shop Boys in 1986.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Pet Shop Boys in 1986.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MilborneOne (talk) 18:44, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Elizabeth Hurley in 2008.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Elizabeth Hurley in 2008.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:26, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Pet shop boys in a 1987 single.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Peripitus (Talk) 08:19, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
