You're going to have to tell us why the school is "notable" in Wikipedia terms, or someone will come along and delete it. Primary schools are not considered inherently notable. PamD (talk) 09:44, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy tagging[edit]

Thanks for tagging Moshi Club EK EM, which I have deleted, and for giving the new user a Welcome message, but rather than just {{db}} it is better to use one of the more specific tags listed at WP:CSD - in this case, {{db-club}}. That generates a more relevant message for the author. If you are going to do New Page Patrol, which is a very good and useful thing to do, you should read WP:CSD carefully; also, there is good advice for speedy taggers from an experienced admin at WP:10CSD and WP:A7M. Where the article being speedied is the new author's first, a useful variant of the Welcome message is {{subst:firstarticle|<articlename>}}. There is one oddity about that one: it automatically generates a signature, so for once you don't have to add four tildes. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 11:32, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Mark Page as Patrolled[edit]

Hello! Can you please mark the page as "patrolled" once you tagged it or reviewed it? Thank you! Dengero (talk) 12:05, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Englewood-Chicago (Erie Railroad station)[edit]

I can't put the message on a related page, so I have to put it here. The original redlink for Englewood-Chicago (Erie Railroad station) was created by User:Mitchazenia and intended for a station article that hasn't been written yet. I erroneously redirected it to Englewood Station (Chicago). If you delete the article, and Mitchazenia recreates the article as intended, I strongly urge you not to re-delete it. ----DanTD (talk) 12:16, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Blanked pages[edit]

Some more advice: where a page has been blanked, you need to look at the history to see what has gone on. {{db-blank}} is often not the right tag. It may be vandalism, in which case restore the previous version and give the vandal a suitable warning from the {{uw-del1}} series. With Tailfingen just now, it wasn't vandalism - the IP who blanked it thought the redirect that was there before was inappropriate, and said why on the talk page, but I disagree, so I have restored the redirect. But often, as with First Time (Offer Nissim album) just now, the author has blanked his own page. We take that as a request to delete: the thing to do is tag the page with {{db-g7}} (or {{db-author}}, which is the same thing). You don't need to give the author any warning - a new author who realises his page is inappropriate and blanks it will be confused if he is given a warning for the blanking.

Don't be worried by all this advice - the best way to learn is to make mistakes and have them pointed out. Keep up the good work! JohnCD (talk) 12:20, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Salting[edit]

Hi, I can see that you're getting a lot of messages from other users about your editing. Don't worry, it's because we've all seen that you are very enthusiastic and doing a good job already! At the risk of piling on, I have another tip for you: salting an article is usually the result of some other problem, as you have seen already. You don't need to go to Page Protection to get it done. If it's already part of an issue that's been brought up somewhere else, such as ANI, an admin will usually take care of that too. Otherwise you will get the problem that an admin on another notice board might not get the full picture. I've asked SlimVirgin to salt the others too. Keep up the good work, and happy editing!

The article Wikipedia (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

None of these articles are directly confusable, this is a list of "see alsos" at best.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nomination of Wikipedia (disambiguation) for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Wikipedia (disambiguation) is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Wikipedia (disambiguation) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Cybercobra (talk) 06:28, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
