Speedy deletion of Image:U+2180.svg[edit]
A tag has been placed on Image:U+2180.svg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:U+2180.svg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Professor Samuel Oak.jpg)[edit]
Thanks for uploading Image:Professor Samuel Oak.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Free advice[edit]
Before you welcome someone, you should check and see what their contribs actually are. I just got edit conflicted by you while trying to notify someone that their new page was tagged for speedy deletion (attack page). J.delanoygabsadds 02:08, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- Normally, I use WP:HUGGLE for reverting vandalism and tagging pages for speedy deletion, but I welcome users without using tools. I checked his contribs before welcoming, which is why I tagged it manually. Twinkle slows down my browsing so much I usually keep it turned off. J.delanoygabsadds 02:33, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

I wanted to personally thank you for taking part in the project-wide discussions regarding my candidacy for bureaucratship. After bureaucratic discussion, the bureaucrats decided that there was sufficient significant and varied opposition to my candidacy, and thus no consensus to promote. Although personally disappointed, I both understand and respect their decision, especially in light of historical conservatism the project has had when selecting its bureaucrats. HowTo for commons[edit]
Hi, You should use this command to upload images to commons from wikipedia:
python imagecopy.py -cat:Copy_to_Wikimedia_Commons

I was wondering how a question about the process helps you to evaluate whether or not a candidate should be an administrator. I'm really just curious here.
