Wow Eloc what kind of wiki nub do you think I am? --Lemming64 11:10, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
LoL, I only used the welcome template.--§ Eloc § 22:06, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
My point Eloc, is that you are all to aware that I know how to edit a page, sign my name, and all that stuff. These welcome templates are meant for people who do not have a clue or need some guidance. --Lemming64 13:19, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Meh, true enough. But everyone desveres a welcome :P.--§ Eloc § 20:49, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability? You don't think a retailer with branches globally is notable? --Lemming64 15:54, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's why I didn't put a speedy tag on it. But you may remove the tag I put if you believe there is enough notability assertion. --Blanchardb 15:58, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
On second thought, you're right. 330,000 ghits is notability enough. --Blanchardb 15:59, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:The Book Thief.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:The Book Thief.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:13, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:20, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
