You can set your preferences to force edit summaries ever time, across the top is "my preferences" click here then select "edit" tab last it on the list tick "Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary". This is a good habit to get into as it helps tell every body what you've done. Over time your watchlist will grow(mines got 2820 articles on it ATM), and knowing what the edit was about saves a lot of time.

Another thing to consider is participating in WikiProjects about areas that interest you, they a focal points about specific topics you'll see I've some userboxes on my page that indicate projects I participate in. Anyhow be bold enjoy yourself I think I've over loaded you with information for now. I'm going off line for a couple of hours but leave any questions on my talk page I'll answer them when I get back on. Oh and remember to sign talk pages with ~~~~ that way people know who left the message and when Gnangarra 00:49, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

One more thing be careful with spelling as either US/UK english spelling is acceptable ie color/colour just follow what ever the article is using. Gnangarra 00:51, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

Wikiprojects

• Wikipedia:WikiProject Wikify has a back log 11,000 articles. These need to be wikified ie have significant words [[linked]] like so. Break articles into sections, and give a general copy edit. Gnangarra 00:28, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

This one is also a good way to learn the various wiki coding of links,bold,italic and headings Gnangarra

• WP:CANADA is another that I recommend as its close to home for you, it has collaborations, cleanup etc. Gnangarra 00:30, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

Creating User/Info Boxes

First thing you need is a sandbox User:Lemonflash/Sandbox. They way I create them is find one similar to what I want then edit the page copy the code and paste that into my sandbox. From there I just modify the contents to what I want.

Vandal tools

I use popups religiously but I did run VandalProof for a while that was ok, I dont get overly involved chasing it I prefer to focus on content and just revert when I see. Gnangarra 01:01, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
