Review trade[edit]

Hi there. I couldn't help but notice you have an article awaiting review at WP:GAN#LAW. I've recently listed an article for review there myself, that is of similar length to yours. In my experience articles can sit at GAN for many, many months awaiting a review, so I was wondering if there was any chance you'd be interested in speeding up the process trading reviews? So I'll review your nomination and in return (either once yours is finished or simultaneously, whichever suits you) you could review my own? Please be thorough with your review though and don't feel awkward about failing it if you don't think it's up to scratch, as I will be doing the same. No worries if you're too busy or otherwise not interested though. I just figured there was no harm in asking. Have a nice day. Damien Linnane (talk) 02:45, 27 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Damien Linnane--sure, I would be open to that. This would be my first review so I'd need to make sure I study how to do it properly, but I am happy to collaborate/trade. 02:51, 27 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. Feel free to take your time with the review, and you can always ask for assistance from Wikipedia:Good article help/mentor if you think you need a hand or if you just want someone to look at your review once it's done to make sure it's on the right track. I've done many reviews though I actually haven't done one for three years so I need to refresh my own memory on the process a bit myself. I'll start the review of your article now though. :) Damien Linnane (talk) 05:46, 27 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Okay great Damien Linnane, thanks. I will get to work and I appreciate the opportunity. Light&highbeautyforever (talk) 01:22, 28 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your finished review, as the mentor noted you did a really good job of it. No rush, but let me know at the review page of your own nomination once you've finished making all the changes. Oh and just in case it isn't clear, if the sources don't go into any further detail on the subjects I asked you to expand then obviously you don't need to do that and it can be passed as is. :) Damien Linnane (talk) 14:19, 31 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The article Leigh Saufley you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Leigh Saufley for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as a bold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. Hello, I thought I’d add a personal note to let you know that despite the nomination failing, there is much to commend about the article. Its referencing is excellent, and it gives enough information to give a general overview of McDonald. So I’d like to thank you for your efforts and let you know how much I appreciate your contributions to the article. Keep up the great work, I value it and I know others do too. - Aussie Article Writer (talk) 16:08, 12 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

"Anti-vaccine activist"[edit]

Hello. I've noticed you've been adding "Anti-vaccine activist" to the lead of several BLPs of politicians, and writing heavily about their vaccine-related activities, which I believe distorts and misrepresents the source material and pushes a point-of-view in disproportion to (or in absence of) its coverage in reliable secondary sources. I've stated my concerns a Talk:Anne Dauphinais, and have edited that article to address them. I see similar issues at Chris A. Johansen, e.g. it appears you alone are inferring that criticism of COVID-19 lockdown measures, mask requirements, or vaccine mandates equates with anti-vaccine activism. While some clickbait sources use terms like "anti-vaxx rally" in headlines, the articles clarify the rallies are "opposing new vaccine mandates for health care workers" (note also post 2013 Newsweek is considered not generally reliable). With politically controversial and sensitive issues, especially anything COVID-19 related, it is important to be extra vigilant against any personal biases, straying from source material, or presenting and arranging true statements in a way that misrepresents the context. Please review WP:BLPBALANCE, WP:BLPCAT, MOS:LABEL, WP:COP and WP:COPDEF, and strive to give BLPs on politicians equal care and consideration, regardless of party. Cheers, --Animalparty!
