Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:MizukiNana.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 22:15, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My Angel (Tank song)[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article My Angel (Tank song), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of My Angel (Tank song). Disambig of albums[edit]

Please take this all as constructive criticism, as that's the intended spirit of it.

You really should not do cut&paste moves of pages, as you did with Muse (album) to Muse (Grace Jones album). Cut&paste moves of pages are bad for the project for a number of reasons. When you want to rename a page, suich as for moving it out of the way to build a disambiguation at the original name, which was your goal in this case, please use the "move" button found across the top of most article pages. This allows you to rename/move the page and move all the history and talk along with it. The history is especially important to keep with the page for GFDL license reasons. And it's nice to keep talk pages with the articles that the refer to as well.

Anyway, I have cleaned up the Muse one. Once you pasted at the new name, admin powers were neded to straighten it out anyway. So this is an FYI for the future, mostly. :) - TexasAndroid (talk) 17:19, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Lily,

I noticed that you added a "keep" comment to the closed discussion above. I went ahead and reverted it--closed discussions are kept as archives, and so new comments should never be added unless the AfD is reopened. If you'd like to comment on some current discussions, you can do so at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion.

On a separate note, I see nobody has properly welcomed you yet. We'll just have to fix that :) --jonny-mt 02:16, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome[edit]

Welcome!

Hello, Lily1104, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} before the question on your talk page. Again, welcome! jonny-mt 02:16, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the welcome, it was much appreciated! Lily1104 (talk) 11:29, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 13:09, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey![edit]

Hey Lily! You seem to have a similar interest for Chinese music as me. Do you know of any good source / reference material? Poeloq (talk) 13:59, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article moves[edit]

Please refrain from moving articles on songs and albums to titles featuring all capital letters - this is a violation of Wikipedia's naming conventions. JPG-GR (talk) 08:26, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What you are doing is extremely biased. You are moving only YUI-related topics to follow WP:NC. If "feel my soul" is not allowed to be in all-lower capitals, then why are (____surrounded):, poker face (song) and (miss)understood? Lily1104 (talk) 07:42, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Alan Kuo promotes 2005 Debut Album.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to User talk:JPG-GR/Archive 5, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Archives are not to be edited. Any new comments should be posted to the appropriate talkpage. JPG-GR (talk) 08:07, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Alan Kuo promotes 2005 Debut Album.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Alan Kuo promotes 2005 Debut Album.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. NotifyBot (talk) 14:50, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with File:Former gogo dancer Leah Dizon performs a striptease (2003).jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Former gogo dancer Leah Dizon performs a striptease (2003).jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

race/ethnicity categories[edit]

Please don't remove Chinese American designers from the main American designers category. This is disallowed by policy bc it ghettoizes people by race/ethnicity. See Wikipedia:Categorization/Gender,_race_and_sexuality#Other considerations. Calliopejen1 (talk) 15:28, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Former gogo dancer Leah Dizon performs a striptease (2003).jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 01:11, 10 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 05:18, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mr. (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
