Brazilian diplomatic missions

well done on your article! I too have also been outside the Brazilian embassy in Rome, as it is adjacent to one of those famous squares —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Kransky (talkcontribs) 13:02, 10 December 2006 (UTC).

HI!, how you doing ?. May I know your problem with the tracker image ? Its shows the great potential of the carrier to operate with such planes AND from another nation, something very unusual. --Jor70 23:15, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Imagens, a missão

Obrigado!--Dali-Llama 20:42, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Timeline of first orbital launches by country

I have reverted the main change you made to Timeline of first orbital launches by country, moving Brazil from the "Not included" section to the "List of first orbital launches by country" section. The sources you added indicate that the October 2004 launch was not intended to reach orbit. — Swpbtalk|edits 16:39, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

Hola! Mirroring the above, I am also reverting your edit #165868288 to Template:Public sector space agencies, namely, adding Brazil to the list of countries that have satellite launch capability. As discussed in the Talk page at the Launch capabilities section, I had suggested the following criteria for inclusion into the satellite launch catgory:
1. An indigenously developed satellite launch vehicle (not sounding rockets).
2. Ability to launch and inject satellites into orbit ie ORBITAL LAUNCH CAPABILITY.
3. Successfully and sufficiently well proven capability of having done so.
4. Should presently have satellite launch capabilities.
I agree that the Brazilian space program is quite advanced, as is its rocket technology. Unfortunately, until this capability is proven beyond doubt, we will not be able to count Brazil in among those countries that can send a satellite into a stable orbit in space. Until now, that hasnt happened, and if and when the 2009 launch of the VLS-1 rocket is successful, I'll be happy to add Brazil to the select club. But until then, I'm sorry. Sub-orbital capability is not counted, since Iran, North Korea and a lot of amateur rocket developers (making sounding rockets) can claim a seat based on that.
I hope you understand the logic. Please feel free to contact me or contest my edit at my talk page or at Template talk:Public sector space agencies. Muchos Gracias. Cheers. Sniperz11talk|edits 17:33, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

(Brazil)

Hi. I don't think this is needed. When there are no other institutions with the same name, there's no need to specify these are the ones from Brazil. A.Z. 02:32, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

Unspecified source for Image:Oxala.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Oxala.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:07, 18 December 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Mangostar (talk) 21:07, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Petropolis Imperial Museum.jpg

Thank you for uploading Image:Petropolis Imperial Museum.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 14:10, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

"Fair Use" rationale

Apparently the last 2 pictures you uploaded were deleted, and I noticed that on the article Brazilian Army 4 more pictures were deleted probably again because of the "Fair Use rationale". I usually just add following text, edit accordingly and manage to avoid that problem.

Fair use rationale for Name of the Article article

This trademarked image is used in the English-language Wikipedia article "Name of the Article." The manner of said use constitutes a "fair use" under United States trademark and copyright law. Specifically:

  1. The English-language Wikipedia is a project of the Wikimedia Foundation, Inc., a non-profit charitable organization.
  2. The article for which this use occurs is purely educational in nature and, thus, is non-commercial.
  3. It is a historically significant logo of a large, widely known, publicly traded company.
  4. The sole purpose of this use of the image is to illustrate the company that is the primary and sole subject of the article.
  5. The image is used only once in the article, and is used in an "information box" that is neutral in tone and in fact has no commentary whatsoever.
  6. The market for the products or services sold by Name of the Article will not be diminished by this use of the image.
  7. Since it is trademarked logo, the image is not replaceable with an uncopyrighted or public domain image of comparable educational value.
  8. The image is not used in such a way that a reader would be confused into believing that the article is produced, sponsored, or authorized by the owner of the image, Name of the Article.

I know this rationale is for a specific case (Logos) but this rationale can serve as a model so I hope that it can be of some help in the future.⇨ EconomistBR ⇦ Talk 05:10, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Potential superpowers

Olá Limongi! Há uma discussão ocorrendo em Talk:Potential superpowers#Removal of Brazil e gostaríamos da sua opinião. Obrigado pela atenção! Felipe C.S ( talk ) 22:03, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi, could you please clarify your vote at the Talk:Potential great powers page on Mexico? If you are voting, please put your vote in the Support Removal or Oppose format that the other votes are in. This will help us tally the votes at the end. Thanks! Felipe C.S ( talk ) 17:48, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Abraços; Felipe C.S ( talk ) 16:22, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Brazilian Naval Aviation, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.scramble.nl/mil/8/brazil/navy-main.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 16:34, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
