February 2016[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Skraz. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —the one you made with this edit to List of Acts of Parliament in Singapore— because it didn’t appear constructive to me. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.   » skraz /talk/email   16:20, 20 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Medical (Therapy, Education and Research) Act, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.liveon.sg/content/moh_liveon/en/organdonation/mtera.html.

It is possible that the bot was mistaken and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

Disambiguation link notification for March 14[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bishan. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

A tag has been placed on File:Sun Xueling.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{Non-free fair use}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Thanks for the barnstar![edit]

Hey, thanks for the barnstar! I will try to reply and help solve issues. Sorry, I had to undo your move and changes at City of Singapore (historical entity) for the moment to preserve WP:STATUSQUO. However, once we discuss it at the notice board (hopefully in the coming days), then I guess appropriate changes can be done. As a general practice, for any article renaming/moving, it is best to propose it first and move after consensus. Which is why I posted on the notice board. Hope you understand. --Lemongirl942 (talk) 09:53, 5 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I get what you are trying to say. But it's best not to argue aggressively and use terms like "rubbish" [1]. It hurts other editors and makes everyone behave aggressively without helping the article itself. You can just state your point simply. For example, instead of explaining about India and Lee Kuan Yew, just say "It was called City of Singapore in the past, but it doesn't necessarily mean the central area is still called City of Singapore today".--Lemongirl942 (talk) 10:25, 5 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It depends on where each of us and we are coming from. Now I can be very specific, I use the degrading label on User:MageLam, because this is what I observe from her edits almost in an absolute sense. Did you see me doing this on your responses? What you have been doing is sensible, from mediating till reasoning. I have to take a step back and commend you instead. Without your kindness, I will have went ahead and posted on MageLam's wall suggesting disruptive editing instead. If people either me or MageLam are unreasonable, and you want somebody who is reasonable what you need is either a pastor or a monastic or a romantic partner, if you need the former two, I can do that for you by being kindddddddddddd, like Singa. All I need to do is update another page and do something else. PS: I am alright with you making the decisions.Linrx (talk) 10:35, 5 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
So you're assuming that I'm doing disruptive editing. Is that your best reason for your rash behavior? -- MageLam (talk) 10:40, 5 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You are right in suggesting that I am making assumptions. Linrx (talk) 10:41, 5 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Linrx: Look, "friend", I'm not gonna escalate this drama any further. Its either you act civil or I report you for harassment. -- MageLam (talk) 10:44, 5 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Linrx and MageLam: OK. Let's cool down. See the thing is, none of you did anything wrong in your edits. @Linrx:, what you did was simply known as a bold edit and it was reverted to WP:STATUSQUO, (although please do not comment "rubbish" from now on). Your edit itself was fine though. Since it was reverted, we should now discuss and reach consensus (according to [WP:BRD]]). @MageLam: I understand that you got angry on seeing the "rubbish" comment. OK, for the time being just forget it and let's focus on the work. --Lemongirl942 (talk) 10:55, 5 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Linrx: Let's assume good faith before putting a disruptive editing template. I know that MageLam was doing some edits on their own and some of them may be contested. I myself contested some of MageLam's edits. However, I also know that MageLam has been really cooperative and in many cases has even reverted their own edits after I showed my references. I think the best way to proceed is to show references to support the information! Alright, let's get back to editing and calm down. :) --Lemongirl942 (talk) 11:02, 5 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

April 2016[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would ask that you assume good faith while interacting with other editors, which you did not on Central Area. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. MageLam (talk) 11:46, 5 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Linrx: Your accusations of me cursing can be easily defended by WP:FREE. I have the constitutional right of free speech on Wikipedia, I can curse or swear if I so wish. Don't come harassing me if you have no clear or defenitive evidence of my involvement in WP:COI. -- MageLam (talk) 11:44, 5 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop posting rants insulting me on my talk page. Linrx (talk) 11:48, 5 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
So stop posting yours on mine. -- MageLam (talk) 11:50, 5 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
OK stop now --Lemongirl942 (talk) 12:03, 5 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Linrx: May I suggest you to read this WP:NPA. Please only comment on the content, not the contributor. When you added tags to the article, please do not blame another editor. The person is trying to help out. If you feel the person has made mistakes, then you can discuss on the talk page objectively. But calling edits "rubbish" doesn't help. Don't post on noticeboards like you did as COI because in this case there was simply no possibility of COI. I would urge you to refrain from any personal comments. Just comment on the topic and say it objectively. --Lemongirl942 (talk) 12:07, 5 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
