Dr Bellows[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Dr Bellows, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Dr Bellows. Redfarmer (talk) 18:14, 4 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry if it was too short. My mum wanted the computer so I had to stop but I meant to edit it and make it longer straight afterwards. Why was it deleted?--Lizzie Brookes (talk) 18:37, 4 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have updated and sourced it and so I have deleted the deletition request. I would like the article to remain if possible because it is useful to have articles on fictional charecters if anyone is interested in looking them up. Please let me know if anything more needs to be done to make it fit with the criteria. Thanks. --Lizzie Brookes (talk) 19:37, 4 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Take a moment and review some of the links in the welcome notice. You can also leave messages on any of our talk pages. I, for one, think Dr. Bellows is worthy of an article, but when titling an article, try and use proper titling conventions. You titled it as "Dr Bellows" whereby "Dr" should have had a period after it since it's an abbreviation. The proper title would have been the full name of the character, namely "Dr. Alfred Bellows." Hope this helps. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 18:27, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • Almost forgot: Research is absolutely paramount, even on a subject with which you're familiar. You've listed the show's home town as "Cape Kennedy" when in fact the characters live in the very real town of Cocoa Beach. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 18:32, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

Thanks for the advice. I have written what I wrote previously under a new article entitled Dr. Alfred Bellows and changed Cape Kennedy to Cocoa Beach, Florida. I have also referenced it. By period I assumed you meant a full stop after Dr so I have done that.

AfD nomination of Dr Bellows[edit]

I have nominated Dr Bellows, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dr Bellows. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Redfarmer (talk) 19:48, 4 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ruth Winters[edit]

Hello, try editing this page, instead of creating misspelling and mis-titles. --ÐeadΣyeДrrow (Talk | Contribs) 15:57, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

But how? I can make the name clickable by adding double square brackets but when I tried to redirect it to my article last time everything went wrong? Here's the article I wrote on Ruth Winters - Oh wait a second its just been deleted. --Lizzie Brookes (talk) 16:03, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You can read WP:REDIR and WP:REDIRECT to learn about redirects. We like to have articles correctly titled for their subject. That link I gave you is the right place for the article you want to make. But I do have to say your article would likely be deleted or turned back into a redirect. It doesn't quite meet notability guidelines for it's own article. --ÐeadΣyeДrrow (Talk | Contribs) 16:14, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In addition, you might want to start a discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Holby, a WikiProject dedicated to the subject.-- Diniz (talk) 16:21, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

But then why are there articles on Maggie Coldwell, Tess Bates etc? I mean how is it that the Ruth Winters article I wrote did not meet the notability guidelines and those other articles did? And the article I wrote on Stitch Lambert was not removed. --Lizzie Brookes (talk) 18:09, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Ruth Wiinters, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to a nonexistent page.

If you can fix this redirect to point to an existing Wikipedia page, please do so and remove the speedy deletion tag. However, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag unless you also fix the redirect. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. RT | Talk 18:22, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The redirect now leads to the Casualty Cast Page. Ideally the redirect should have been from Ruth Winters' name on the Casualty cast page to the page on which I have written the article about her but I have not yet managed to succeed in doing that. --Lizzie Brookes (talk) 19:06, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Steven[edit]

Hi Lizzie, I think your edits are well written and generally good, but unfortunately you are adding a bit too much detail. I understand why you want to. As a fan of EE, I always want to add a lot of detail, but we have to think of the the non-fans who wont really care about Steven sitting on a bench and not answering a phonecall etc. We are being leant on to reduce character plot details on wiki and have more real world stuff/less plot. So we are trying to reduce plot content by saying the same thing in less words, and not including the trivial details, just the major plot points. Sorry to revert you, it's nothing personal and you'll notice that I didnt revert it all, as you made some improvements to the way it was written. I dont want you to feel that you cant continue to update and make improvements, but please dont take offence if someone shortens or condenses parts of your edit. It really is not personal and all about condensing.Gungadin 18:27, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That would be a big help. Thankyou Gungadin 19:12, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Biasexuality[edit]

I have reverted your addition to the Bisexuality article where you added "Biasexuality" as a synonym. This term is not found in cholarly literature. In fact the only place I could find it thorugh Google was in the Urban Dictionary, not a reliable and notable source. Please do not return it to the article unless you can provide a citation that shows that the difnition is both accurate, synonymous with the term "bixesuality" and notable. Atom (talk) 17:52, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

your edits to Lesbian[edit]

Two editors have now reverted this unsourced edit of yours about asexuality, which is your own original research. So far as I know there are asexual people in the world (however one might define it) and it is very likely that they hang out with many and sundry kinds of people. This may or may not have anything to do with the topic Lesbian but either way, it must be supported by a citation to a reliable source. If you would like to discuss this further, please bring it up at Talk:Lesbian. Please do not keep trying to add it to the article, since unsourced content can be removed by any good faith editor. Thanks. Gwen Gale (talk) 06:31, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Double Bluff[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Double Bluff, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

WP:DICDEF

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 11:20, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oh I see. I didn't realize you had a separate Viki site for definitions. In that case can I add a sentence to the lying type "bluffing" in the main "lie" article about double bluffs?

Lizzie.

Hello Lizzie!
Wikipedia and Wikitionary are indeed split into the two projects they are, to prevent a creating a mixed encyclopedia/dictionary. However, i am honest if i say that i know near nothing about the wikitionary policies and practices, as the English wikipedia is the place where virtually all my edits are located :). Personally my guess would be that a double bluff is a subform of a regular bluff, like a doublecross is a different form of crossing someone, which means i would create a subparagraph in the bluff article.
