LkHk (talk) 13:26, 19 February 2018 (UTC) Dear Eagleash, thank you very much for your help, corrections with the page and all the useful information! I must say that to learn how to use the platform is a huge challenge for me. I appreciate your help very much. I hope you will even receive this message and that the content is appropriate (not too personal). I am sorry for all the inconvenience. Thank you again![reply]

Hi, no problem. You sign your posts by typing the tildes at the end. You can indent your replies by using a colon (:) (increasing by one for further replies... so if you wish to reply to this message, use 2 colons) and if you wish to draw an editor's attention to your post you can use {{ping|username}}. And yes, there is vast amount to learn! :) Eagleash (talk) 13:38, 19 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I am surprised and inspired by your help! Again, I don't know if by saying this I cross any WikiRules, but I would just like to show you my appreciation. Thank you very much for your help. I have another question regarding the Photo; the Photographer was being paid for the work and material. Photos were allowed to be used on behalf of Niko Klansek. Do I still need permission from the Photographer? Thank you again! LkHk (talk) 13:45, 19 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
As I understand it, the copyright does still lie with the photographer and to use the image on Wikipedia will require their permission. Wiki is very strict on copyright issues essentially because any content on Wikipedia is free to be reused which is why every edit you make is subject to the licensing information you see when you save it. Please feel free to ask for help with copyright issues at the help desk or teahouse as it's an area where I'm not particularly knowledgeable.
You can express appreciation for another editor by going to their talk page and there is a small heart icon at the very top which gives a selection of 'virtual' gifts. But really it's not necessary to do so in this case! Eagleash (talk) 13:59, 19 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

COI[edit]

Another point...if you have a close connection with the subject or he has asked you to create a page, please read WP:COI and also WP:PAID and make any disclosures that are necessary. It is not a problem as long as disclosures are made (assuming edits are up to standard). It is regarded as important to ensure the neutrality of any articles. Thank you. Eagleash (talk) 15:06, 19 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! I will go through both of them right now and make any necessary disclosure. Thank you very much!

File permission problem with File:Niko Klansek.pdf[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Niko Klansek.pdf, which you've attributed to email. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. - FlightTime (open channel) 15:28, 19 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the notification! In the next 10 minutes, Niko Klansek, the owner of the Photo, will send you an email to prove the ownership of the material. However, the photo, that is currently used in the Draft is not Klansek Niko.pdf but another one (File:Niko Profile.jpg|thumb|Niko Profile). The draft is now in the waiting list for the review under the Article for creation section. Please, let me know if there is any inconvenience regarding the other Photo too. I would kindly like to ask you to instruct me, how to actually remove the Photo because only one Photo would be needed. I thank you for the understanding and apologize for the inconvenience.

LkHk (talk) 16:45, 19 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Both files have been tagged for removal, which can only be done by Admins. You'll have time (7 days) for the photographer, who is usually the copyright owner and "not the image subject" to email their permissions. - FlightTime (open channel) 16:54, 19 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much! I have just requested the Photographer for the permission.

LkHk (talk) 17:06, 19 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I would just like you to inform you about the change of the page [[1]]. I have added the photo again but this time the permission from the photographer Primož Korošec has been already sent to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. Thank you. LkHk (talk) 04:16, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

April 2018[edit]

Hi, I noticed the recent declinature of the Klansek draft and the subsequent re-submission. I very much expect that it will be rejected 'on sight', as the page stands, as it is rather lacking and seems to be unreferenced. I would have declined it myself (believe it or not I am a new page and AfC reveiewer!) but I have edited the page so that may not be appropriate. Might I suggest that you restore the page to the point where it was declined and try to develop it from there. To restore, go to the page history, click on the date of the revision you want (where it was declined) and click edit source when the page displays. Then save the page (click 'publish') and the page will revert to the old version, so you can work on it relatively undisturbed. There is nothing to lose by trying to develop the page in draftspace, but resubmitting as it is might lead to some criticism. Cheers; let me know if you need help to restore the page. Eagleash (talk) 16:31, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Eagleash! I cannot thank you enough- not only for your helpful advice but also for your kindness and kindhearted approach.
Even if the format is a bit formal, your kindness comes through. Maybe expressing my appreciation isn't appropriate content for this place but I just wanted to say it. Thank you. I have now deleted almost all of the content of the draft, except the 2 sentences. I hope it's better now. What do you think? I have asked the same reviewer to check it again.Thank you again.

LkHk (talk) 17:07, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Eagleash! Actually, I do have another question. (oh, the page is submitted:)) How do I change the name of the page from Niko Klansek to Niko Klanšek? I know how to edit the text, but not the name of the page. Thank you very much! LkHk (talk) 04:25, 17 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Changing the name is known as 'moving' the page. This is done via the 'more' tab at the top of the page. This should be available to you as your account has sufficient edits and longevity. When the move is completed, check the link 'what links here', and fix any double redirects. See WP:MOVE for more info. Eagleash (talk) 06:20, 17 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Eagleash! It is me again:) I have a question regarding Wikipedia and Google Search Engine. The question might be off the topic but I have no other to turn to. Thank you. So I changed surname from Klansek to Klanšek. When I Google Klansek now (not Klanšek), Wikipedia page doesn't appear. Is there any way to modify that- so that wiki appears regardless typing Klansek or Klanšek in Google Search. Another question is if you know how can I delete this page from Google: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Niko_Profile.jpg

Thank you very much. LkHk (talk) 05:28, 25 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure why that is happening. It maybe that the original page (which is now a redirect) was never 'patrolled'...pages are not usually indexed by search engines until they have been reviewed or for 90 days whichever is the shorter period. It is my experince that redirects show up in google searches as a link to the target page. I suspect it will resolve itslf in due course, but will see if I can find out anything. As far as the image is concerned, we have little control over what Google display. Was there a copyright issue with the image? Was that resolved? I believe the image is not used on any Wiki page and it may be possible to request deletion at commons, especially if there are unresolved copyright issues? Click view on commons then 'nom. for deletion' from the toolbar on the left. You could point out it's an unused image, copy not resolved? And uploader request. Eagleash (talk) 16:54, 25 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you again, Eagleash for your effort. I appreciate it a lot.LkHk (talk) 03:55, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
