If you have any problems with my photography as to the copyright send me an email to wabieagle@gmail.com It REALLY PISSES ME OFF when I check in and a month ago some jack ass removed my photos that are my copyright and were properly posted.
- Be polite don't be indiscriminately deleting History, do a few days studying the subject in depth, if you are not an expert on the subject, please find something that is up your alley and work on that.

Hello Bill, I received your message. It has been a while since I worked on the article. For a time I was doing American things. I might get back to them. It seems, as soon as you start on any article in Wikipedia you get enmashed like a fly on flypaper and can't get out. I make plenty of plans but I get bogged down. Well I see you have plunged into the world of publications. There is nothing I appreciate more than a good painstaking book on a local subject. There will always be something of a market for them, but don't quit your day job! (yuk yuk) Well I can appeciate Robert Rogers. My father used to find him amusing. Here was this great hero of the French and Indian wars being the head of a counterfeiting gang. That was more like the New England he knew. He was a New Hampshire local. My mother was from Canada. I read now in the discussion on the article that there is some theoretical animosity to Rogers. He was a traitor, someone said. This is really quite amazing. "New England" is named after England and within my very lifetime the states fought in a critical war aganist world tyranny side to side with the British and yet somehow Rogers' loyalty to Britain is being a traitor. I don't see it myself. Once the issues of the day are over we should put aside our hates. We want to perpetuate the good things and not the hates. Anyway I am not at all convinced Rogers was not a spy for Washington. Whether he was or not, there were plenty of drinkers and gamblers among the wealthy of both countries, including royalty, so basically the British and others only found that offensive because he needed money all the time. If he had had the money no one would have batted an eyelash. US Grant was a drinker and a brawler and was originally cashiered from the army for brawling. His parents had connections that got him back in at a critical time and he played the hand well. So, under different circumstances, who knows what Rogers might have done. A lot of us here in the states come from ancestors who fought each other tooth and nail with the greatest of hatred. Just who's hate shall I take, my mothers' ancestors' or my father's ancestors'? Time and times go by. The confederate soldiers eventually were classified as veterans and were entitled to government benefits. I read that at the first recreation of the Battle of Gettysburg the federal combatants ran down off the hill to hug the confederate combatants. This perpetuation of hate into eternity is not my cup of tea. We don't need any mass murderers a thousand years from now taking revenge for the back-stabbing Robert Rogers. He was just a heroic but tragic figure. Anyway nice to hear from you. The Robert Rogers article still needs a lot of work.Dave (talk) 08:38, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

- This edit-a-thon is intended to address some of these important differences and to generally improve women’s health information in key articles and topics. Areas for improvement have been identified in cooperation with WikiProject Medicine. Prior Wikipedia editing is not required; assistance will be available the day of the event. International Women's Day Wikipedia Edit-a-thon, Oregon Jewish Museum, Thursday, March 7[edit]
The Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education, in partnership with social practice artist Shoshana Gugenheim and as part of the Art+Feminism Project, will host the 2nd Annual International Women's Day Wikipedia Edit-a-thon to edit and/or create Wikipedia articles for Jewish women artists. The event will be held at the museum on Thursday, March 7 from 4 to 8 pm. Pre-registration is preferred but not required. Members of the public are invited to come to the museum to learn about the editing process, its history, its impact, and how to do it. We aim to collaboratively edit/enter 18 Jewish women artists into the canon. Support will be provided by an experienced local Wikipedian who will be on site to teach and guide the process. This edit-a-thon will serve as both a public art action and a public educational program. Participants will have an opportunity to select an artist/s ahead of time or on site.

Portland Art+Feminism Edit-a-thon: March 12, 2022[edit]
You are invited! An Art+Feminism Wikipedia edit-a-thon will be held in Portland, Oregon, on March 12, 2022. Learn more here!
Wikipedia is one of the most-visited sites on the internet—and it’s created by people who volunteer their time to write and edit pages. Learn how to edit Wikipedia and be a part of shaping our understanding of our world. In this workshop, volunteer Wikipedia editors will be on hand to train participants on how to get started editing pages and offer ideas for which pages you can pitch in to help improve. Show up at any point during the four hours to get started!
Also: Free burritos!! We will be providing vegan, vegetarian, and meat burritos from food cart Loncheria Las Mayos. Alder Commons has a large, fenced playground. Children are welcome! Some computers will be available to borrow, but if you have a laptop, please bring it to use. We will also be leading an online training for new editors at 11am-12pm PST. Please feel free to join that training if you are not able to show up IRL.
