Duplicate categorization[edit]

I've asked you at least twice before to familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's duplicate categorization rules. That is, if you're adding a person to Category:French beatified people, then do not also add him to Category:French people alongside that; if you're adding a person to Category:German Roman Catholics, then do not also add her to Category:German people alongside that; and on and so forth. It makes unnecessary extra work for other people to have to clean up the duplicate categorization after you, because it isn't how we categorize people on here — "Nationality people" categories are meant to be as close as possible to empty of individual articles, with individual people's biographies subcategorized by occupation, time frame and/or more specific location (city, county, province, state, etc.) and not filed directly in the undifferentiated national parent category. And since this is already the third time I've reminded you of this, if I have to address it with you again I may be forced to escalate it to WP:ANI. A barnstar for you![edit]

The Editor's Barnstar
I've been sitting and watching the edits made to Jean-Louis Tauran like a hawk, waiting for SOMEBODY to make an edit to the article that referenced a source and was compliant with policy... and because of your edit, I literally yelled out loud, "FINALLY!" and in pure happiness and relief. I know that the edit you made was probably no big deal to you, but you have to understand... I've been at the forefront of keeping edits made to BLP articles where the person has died five times over the last month or two, and it's ridiculous and disappointing to see editors with years of experience and user rights granted out the nose fail to comply with this policy when they rush to the article to slap on the person's death date. Because of your diligence and your correct actions today, I present you this barnstar - a token of my appreciation. Thank you :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 09:15, 6 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Featuring your work on Wikipedia's front page: DYKs[edit]

Thank you for your recent articles, including Róża Czacka, which I read with interest. When you create an extensive and well referenced article, you may want to have it featured on Wikipedia's main page in the Did You Know section. Articles included there will be read by thousands of our viewers. To do so, add your article to the list at T:TDYK. This can be also done through this helpful user script: User:SD0001/DYK-helper. WikiProject assessment tags for talk pages[edit]

Thank you for your recent articles, including Róża Czacka, which I read with interest. When you create a new article, can you add the WikiProject assessment templates to the talk of that article? See the talk page of the article I mentioned for an example of what I mean. Usually it is very simple, you just add something like {{WikiProject Keyword}} to the article's talk, with keyword replaced by the associated WikiProject (ex. if it's a biography article, you would use WikiProject Biography; if it's a United States article, you would use WikiProject United States, and so on). You do not have to rate the article if you do not want to, others will do it eventually. Those templates are very useful, as they bring the articles to a WikiProject attention, and allow them to start tracking the articles through Wikipedia:Article alerts and other tools. For example, WikiProject Poland relies on such templates to generate listings such as Article Alerts, Popular Pages, Quality and Importance Matrix and the Cleanup Listing. Thanks to them, WikiProject members are more easily able to defend your work from deletion, or simply help try to improve it further. Feel free to ask me any questions if you'd like more information about using those talk page templates. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 14:18, 19 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
