Agorism sidebar[edit]

I invite you to share your opinion about the nomination for deletion of the Agorism and Agorism sidebar. I am doing this since there appears to lack a broad range of libertarians reaching a consensus. Thank you for your time. PublicSquare (talk) 15:47, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article Zathura (software) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of why this is notable, completely unreferenced

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Terrillja talk 19:33, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

June 2010[edit]

Please do not attack other editors, as you did at Talk:Zathura (software). Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Terrillja talk 14:56, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I deter user from contributing to wikipedia by trying to stop you being a deletionist so that new user will not be detered to contribute as their contributions gets deleted, yeah that is such a nice spin you have on it. Lord Metroid (talk) 18:13, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Zathura (software), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Terrillja talk 01:37, 26 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Alright I give up, you have converted me to your religion of delitionism, may all articles with perfectly good information which the public can have use of but lacks mainstream notability. My only contributions hereforth will be delete tags to all articles I find obscure and badly referenced. May Wikipedia fall into obscurity by self-deletion! Re:Please undo the deletion of Zathura (software)[edit]

Hi Lordmetroid. Although it may have not been your intent, your article, "Zathura (software)", read like an advertisement. Here on Wikipedia, we have a policy in which advertising/spam is speedy deleted per deletion criterion G11. Please note that articles for deletion are judged on their own merit, not in comparison to other articles (See WP:OTHERSTUFF). You are certainly welcome to resubmit the article, but please revise the text so that it complies with the policies and guidelines noted at WP:ADS and WP:MOS; otherwise, you run the risk of having the article deleted again. FASTILY (TALK) 05:02, 26 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Zathura (software), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Zathura (software). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Terrillja talk 22:08, 3 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Nana to Kaoru has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No assertion of notability. Search for third party sources only comes up with a couple of trivial mentions related to changes in a manga magazine. No significant coverage by reliable, third-party sources found to pass WP:BK.

You article is saved over at the manga wikia[edit]

A small group of people that frequent all anime and manga AFD have constantly and relentlessly been erasing articles. They state that sales figures don't matter, even if its sold more than 15 million copies [1], that being in a long running highly circulated manga magazine for years doesn't matter, nor anything else. That only mention in third party coverage matters to prove something is notable, despite the fact that manga magazines aren't going to review things that their competition is publishing, and you will almost never find any coverage at all. After awhile you give up trying to reason with them, since its a hopeless cause. Anyway, you can continue working on your article at http://manga.wikia.com/wiki/Nana_to_Kaoru without fear of deletion. I transwikied over thousands of articles from Wikipedia, and have been doing the full history transfer of anything I see up for deletion that should obviously be saved, as well as copying over the images in those article. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. File permission problem with File:PerBylund.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:PerBylund.gif. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 16:12, 9 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 05:18, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
