January 2022[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, club, organization, company, or website - I have blocked this account. Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a change of username of your current account here. The new username must represent only yourself as an individual and comply with Wikipedia's username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text

{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names.

 Thank you. Cabayi (talk) 17:32, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Lornaword13

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Kavyansh.Singh, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I’ve proposed an article that you started, William Toner, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. To prevent the deletion, please add a reference to the article. You may remove the deletion tag yourself once the article has at least one reliable source.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Kavyansh.Singh}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Hello! Now I have been a member of Wikipedia for a little while longer I will try again to write an article on William Toner. I would appreciate any help or feedback. Thanks --Lornaword13 (talk) 13:26, 28 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Andrew Selley[edit]

Hello Lornaword13,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Andrew Selley for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on William Toner, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Bbb23 (talk) 01:08, 1 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bbb23, I am going to have another attempt to rewrite the deleted page for Andrew Selley. I hope this time around it will be acceptable. I welcome any feedback and advice. --Lornaword13 (talk) 20:40, 28 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Robert McClenon, as I'm fairly new to wikipedia, I'd really appreciate some help from a more experienced contributor, I'm not sure why page I created for Dawood Pervez page had been deleted. Lornaword13 (talk) 09:23, 11 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you have any other questions about your editing experience, we'd love to help you at the Teahouse, a friendly space on Wikipedia where experienced editors lend a hand to help new editors like yourself! User:Lornaword13 - There were two copies of Dawood Perves, one in article space, and one in draft space. The one in draft space is still there. The one in article space was nominated for deletion, and there was a 7-day deletion discussion, after which it was deleted. You can view the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dawood Pervez. The draft was available for review, and I declined it because there was already an article. The article had not yet been nominated for deletion (which is why I did not comment in the deletion discussion). If you want to submit your draft for review and have it approved, you will need to show the reviewers that it is better than the deleted article. If you want to ask questions about getting a draft approved after an article is deleted, the Teahouse might be a good place to ask. Robert McClenon (talk) 17:37, 11 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Bill Toner moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Bill Toner, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). In addition notability is in question. I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. As per WP:PAID you must also link to where you advertise your services and go through WP:AFC rather than publishing in mainspace directly. CUPIDICAE💕 22:35, 28 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
