Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy. It also appears that your account is intended to be used for the purpose of telling the world about an organization or cause that you consider worthwhile. Unfortunately, many good causes are not sufficiently notable for their own Wikipedia article, and all users are discouraged from editing in any area where they have an inherent conflict of interest. You may wish to consider one of these alternative outlets.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer instead to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you prefer to change your username rather than create a new account, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you.

That's nice, what does that have to do with me? My name is Lou Frey and I started an institute.

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Because it's my name

Decline reason:

Even so. Because the name which you have chosen - your own name, conceded - is also the name of an organisation, it is not allowed here. Please choose a new name, using {{unblock-un}}--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 16:55, 29 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

https://plus.google.com/109115712470013142909/photos?hl=en Look I have my own Wikipedia page. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_Frey,_Jr.

I think it is likely that we are dealing with the same person or persons behind User:Loufreyinstitute. I have therefore upgraded this to a "hard" block and you are no longer free to simply create a new account, you will need to succesfully appeal this block before you are welcome to edit here again. On the off chance this really is Mr. Frey, the individual, and not members of the staff of the institute named for him, we also block accounts whose names are the same as well-known living people in order to prevent impersonation. This is for your protection, and you will need to contact the response team at info-en@wikimedia.org if you want to use your real name to edit. Beeblebrox (talk) 17:00, 29 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I had my web team set this account up for me. Why would you say it was someone else? How would that information be verified? I never received a call or put my personal information like a license number or social security number on your site. How could you even know? This is UCF, thousands of faculty and student share this IP address and this is attached to our webmail system.

So you blocked our accounts and completely removed the wikipedia page of our company? This seems a bit excessive and I'm not sure how to report about but we will follow through. Thanks

{{unblock-un}}

Please direct me to the page where is says this?

WP:IMPERSONATE: If a name is used that implies that the user is (or is related to) a specific, identifiable person, the account may sometimes be blocked as a precaution against damaging impersonation, until proof of identity is provided.

If you have been blocked for using your real name, please don't take offense; we're trying to prevent somebody from impersonating you (or impersonating someone you share a name with). You are welcome to use your real name, but in some cases, you will need to prove you are who you say you are. You can do this by sending an email to info-en@wikimedia.org; be aware that emails are handled by a volunteer response team, and an immediate reply is not always possible. --Orange Mike | Talk 21:48, 29 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This now redirects to my page instead of the organization: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lou_Frey_Institute_of_Politics_and_Government

What proof would you like? You can call or email me but I'm not posting it in a public forum for obvious reasons.

Am I suppose to put this here again? I was told by Tony Bradbury this account was fine as long as I spoke in first person. What else do I need to do to get the crap sorted. I got actual work to do and this is at the bottom of a large pile. My web team says this is importent but I don't see how. We have an online and brick & mortar presence. To me this is far from relavent. {{unblock-un}}
