June 2010[edit]

Your addition to Wikipedia talk:Biographies of living persons has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:42, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid you cannot put it on your userpage, either, unless you first verify permission from [1] (see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. Please don't restore this content to Wikipedia without addressing this, as doing so may result in your account being blocked. Meanwhile, the content is not likely to remain even if you do verify permission, as it does not otherwise fit our guidelines and policies. Please see your first article. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 18:20, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 19:40, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your note[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your note, and you are not banned. I realize it is confusing to learn to navigate your way around Wikipedia, and I'm sorry for the problems you've encountered. I did not block you when you put it on your talk page because I suspected that you had good intentions and just weren't aware of the problem.

The procedure for granting permission is at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. Permission can be put directly on the website, or it can be mailed to the Wikimedia Foundation.

But as I said above, you probably ought to read over Wikipedia:Your first article. The content you want to include is probably going to be a problem anyway, because it otherwise isn't very much like an encyclopedia article. That page can help give you a better idea of what material you should include and how to include it.

You're welcome to come back to my talk page if you have any more questions. I'll be happy to help as I can. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 19:57, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
