Notes to myself[edit]

Webpage archiving[edit]

Use either Wayback Machine or Archive.Today. Latter is more simplistic, but works. Actually, for Archive.Today DON'T escape paths... Escape paths in URLs before trying to archive, except for '?' and '#' when being used with actual meaning. ' ' is "%20", '#' is "%23", '%' is "%25", '?' is "%3F"[1]. So, "www.discoveryuk.com/series/wheeler-dealers/?ss=1#episodes" becomes "www.discoveryuk.com/series/wheeler-dealers/%3Fss=1%23episodes" WD series 5 archived Don't include the internal anchor in the URL when submitting a request to the archive site, as it confuses their internal connections/indexing. It should still exist in the retrieved version, so instead append anchor to the archive-url (and expect to have to fix it a couple of times when bots "correct" it).

URL Reference: ref name=DUK20-15 >"cite web |url=https://www.discoveryuk.com/series/wheeler-dealers/?ss=15#episodes |title=Wheeler Dealers - Season 15 |website=Discovery UK |publisher=Discovery Networks International |accessdate=2020-06-25 |archive-url=https://archive.today/20200730230916/https://www.discoveryuk.com/series/wheeler-dealers/?ss=15%2523episodes |archive-date=2020-07-30 |url-status=live "/ref> should have been ...archive.today/20200730230916/https://www.discoveryuk.com/series/wheeler-dealers/?ss=15#episodes

Wheeler Dealers Series 6[edit]

All of the changes I made regarding the location of where Mike bought the cars was mentioned by him in the episode, it wasn't personal research and it wasn't secretive information. Also if you watch the episode with the Mini, during the auction you can see the gold decals that've been added but weren't mentioned. TheHeartbreakKid15 (talk) 12:08, 10 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Replied to your message on the talk page, in terms of the Mini decals they weren't mentioned at all in the episode. I've just rewatched series 6 hence all of the recent edits but never spotted them before, you can't even make out what the decals were but they weren't added when the vinyl wrap, bonnet stripes and roof pattern were added.
