If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on GameRev requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Help me![edit]

Please help me with... understanging why my page has been flagged

Luhar99 (talk) 13:50, 15 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Because there's no indication the company meets Wikipedia's standards of notability while the article itself is blatantly promotional. Wikipedia is not free ad space. Huon (talk) 13:52, 15 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, how about this. Delete the article for now, can you do that? I can't figure out how to. I'll create a similar one in time, send it in for a review, and you can tell me if it's okay. Is that fine?
I didn't mean to advertise. I was simply writing an article about a company that exists. What kind of proof do you really require.\?

Okay how about this. Can you tell me how to delete the page? I'll create an entire similar one in time, send it in for a review, and you can tell me if it's alright. Is that fine?

First of all, please do not significantly modify comments that others have already replied to. That would make it extremely difficult for others to follow the conversation. Secondly, "it exists" is not enough for an encyclopedia. I can see a tree from my window; it exists, but we should not have an article about it. As the links you were provided with explain, Wikipedia measures a subject's notability by the amount of coverage in reliable third-party sources such as newspapers or reputable gaming magazines. If Hindu Businessline or the Economic Times have written articles about the company (not just republished press releases or interviews with company staff!), we can summarize what those sources report about the company and thereby write a Wikipedia article. Thirdly, if "providing each customer a way to stay financially stable and still be able to play all the latest and greatest games of today" wasn't meant to be advertising, you should re-think your writing style.
If you think you can write neutrally about the company (and it meets Wikipedia's standards of notability in the first place), you're welcome to use the Article Wizard to create a draft and to submit it for a review by an experienced editor. Huon (talk) 14:06, 15 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
