Salisbury Highway[edit]

Hi. I don't have time to fix it at the moment, but your recent changes to Salisbury Highway (and also, that which was there before) are not consistent with 2008 UBD. Do you have a different source that presumably conflicts with 2008 UBD? Cheers, Pdfpdf (talk) 22:54, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I went for a drive today. National A13 stops at Pt Wakefield Rd. It seems there are some errors in 2008 UBD! As I asked, "Do you have a different source" we can quote that is more reliable than UBD? Cheers, Pdfpdf (talk) 13:50, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Pdf, considering I live in the Adelaide area and drive the length of Salisbury Highway regularly my sources for what I have previous put on this page come from local road signage, a number of street directory publications, maps etc. If you have more up to date information then by all means add them to the article. However from what you have stated in the above discussion im not sure I understand what your problem actually is, as edits you have made have simply exagerated what myself and others previous had on there. I already know National A13 is only listed between Port Wakefield Road and the Port River Expressway, this is because it is in a number of street directory publications as well as on road signage.LukeNE (talk) 20:21, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I missed noticing your reply.
I thought I was being pretty clear. viz: I looked in the "new" UBD 2008; it says National A13 includes all of Salisbury Highway & John Rice Ave; the UBD 2008 is wrong; Can you supply a citation for a more accurate source?
Regarding your comments:
"a number of street directory publications, maps etc." - Good. Can we have some citations please?
"If you have more up to date information then by all means add them to the article." - That's the point of this "conversation". Yes, I have a more up to date source (UBD 2008), but it contains errors. Yes, I did add the (wrong) information, but as you pointed out, it is wrong, and I have corrected it / restored it to your correct statements / etc. I really don't see any point in adding a citation for UBD 2008 - it supplies incorrect information!
"im not sure I understand what your problem actually is" - I suppose I have two problems: 1) UBD 2008 contains errors. 2) The article is a bit light on specific citations to accurate information.
"as edits you have made have simply exagerated what myself and others previous had on there." - Well, I would prefer the word "clarify" rather than "exagerate", but essentially, I agree with what you're saying.
"this is because it is in a number of street directory publications" - Probably, but which ones? i.e. Could we have some citations please?
By-the-way: It's probably worth mentioning somewhere that UBD 2008 is wrong, just so other poor trusting souls don't have to go through the same "voyage of discovery" that I went through! However, I'm not sure where that should be mentioned. Do you have any suggestions?

I have added the A21 logo to "Template:Road infrastructure in Adelaide" Pdfpdf (talk) 22:32, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hmmm. Another user has created A21.png (along with .png for A11, A14 and A20).
Once again, A21.gif is orphaned. Pdfpdf (talk) 10:12, 25 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, I see you created Image:Australian Alphanumeric State Route A21.gif. If you have a look at Template talk:Road infrastructure in Adelaide, you'll see that the template could also make use of an A11, A14 and A20. I'd like to create them myself, but never having done so before, I don't really know where to start. Any suggestions? Thanks, Pdfpdf (talk) 11:01, 24 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
