Comments on Article selections[edit]

  1. Chicken nugget
  • let's not do this one. The content there has actually been worked on quite a bit and recently (including by another class). There's still more to be done, of course, but not really of the sort of reorganization and reworking that we are looking for.
  1. Bill Skarsgård
  • This one has the basic structure needed for a living actor. If anything it needs more content (but he's relatively young, so this is actually about the right length)
  1. Erik the Red
  • This one is perfect, I think. Look at the history--the organization of the article was set in place over ten years ago and, despite a lot of interest and work here, it hasn't changed since. So it could use someone thinking carefully about the structure of the article and what needs to be here and where.
  1. Lois Lowry
  • Another great one. This has some issues with editorialization -- the facts of her life are written more like a newspaper profile than a wikipedia page article. The organization looks ok on the surface but the content doesn't match.
  1. Jack Black
  • I had a student think about doing this one last year. It will require some care and communication. It was semi-protected recently so it means that it's had some vandalization problems in the past. But it isn't protected now. The large "career" section is not typical of successful actors/musicians. You'll have to compare it with some others that are GA and FA status within bio of actors and/or musicians. There's no reason Jack Black's article can't be as good as some of these others...it just needs some work.

I'll put those last three up. I'm not sure that you'll want to do two bios but they each have different issues and are slightly different kinds of bios, so I'll leave it up to you. Etherfire (talk) 16:25, 15 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
