OCD category[edit]

I would like to restore the "People with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder" category that was recently deleted. It is every bit as valid as other "people with disorders" categories. I understand that articles can be put into the list based on unreliable sources (tabloid speculation, etc), so we could compromise. I will make explicitly clear that entries must be backed up by verifiable information proving that they have been diagnosed with OCD and have publically said that they have it. Moe's[edit]

Wiki markup doesn't like indented paragraphs. Use a colon (like I did in the music section to get of that box) to indent normally and an asterisk to indent with a bullet. The more colons or asterisks you use, the further it will indent.

You may also want to start a references/footnotes section. Rlevse 20:55, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

NOFX's cover song "Golden Boys"[edit]

Hi -- I noticed you attributed the NOFX song "Golden Boys" on Never Trust a Hippy to The Cramps. Are you positive it's theirs? (I have no idea, but I'm only asking because it's currently credited at the 7" of the Month Club to The Germs, and you had changed it from its original attribution to The Dickies). So there are a lot of names flying around, and it would probably be best to just cite a source (like a lyrics page) that shows it belongs to one band or another. I haven't been successful in finding such a page. So, thanks! Dylan 01:34, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, okay -- thanks a lot! Dylan 12:22, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

hi, the song (Golden Boys) was originally performed by Vagina Dentata. VD had an ex-member of the Germs (Pat Smear) and if i remember right the lyrics were written by the late Darby Crash. Need proof? the song was released on three comps: "flipside vinyl fanzine vol.1", "paranoia you can dance to", and "the best of flipside vinyl fanzine". all are out of print but "best of" can still be found used.

nofx butchered the song... but the amazing thing is how much disinformation is printed in regards to the song. funny... i suppose if punk rock can only be bought at the mall... anything goes... sigh

It was originally a Germs song, but Pat played it in most of the bands he was in post-Germs (Vagina Dentata, Celebrity Skin--Twisted Roots might have covered it as well). It's also on his 1987 solo record. (I have it on vinyl!)

Bomb Shelter at USF[edit]

Under one of the dorms, there is a door from the glass lobby, I think it is Alpha, a southmost dorm. It was build in 1963. There was a complex of shelters. The access could have been easily boarded up and sealed off though, like the others. It was perenially flooded, had up to a foot of water in it, but it goes back several hundred yards. Ramones[edit]

I'm thinking the entire Ramones article needs to be redone in a new format. There's random deletions, dead links, useless trivia, a terrible opening paragraph--the whole thing is just f'd up. What do you think? Willerror 21:56, 4 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Whats up? Hi, I'm trying to gather some more interest and support for the Wikipedia:WikiProject Punk music. Please check out the topics and lets get our WikiProject to function better. I've taken an interest in the Wikipedia:WikiProject hip hop and I consider that WikiProject to be better developed. Hopefully we can all work together to improve articles relating to punk. Also, I am trying to gather support and opinions concerning the punk house article and specifically the Theta Beta Potata article which is currently in AfD (x2) at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Theta Beta Potata (second nomination). Please check it out and voice your opinion. Xsxex 06:55, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
