Kindly give me a minute to have a detailed look at the edit history to see if I can see what User:UtherSRG's issue is. But please do not place a disclaimer accompanied by a link to your website. A preliminary response: it appears he is concerned that the material you are introducing may constitute copyright violation because it is sourced from http://www.cercopan.org/Primates/Guenons/sclaters.htm . It appears you are asserting you are the copyright holder and are giving permission to have this material included in Wikipedia. Naturally your contributions are welcome, but I'm sure you can appreciate that Wikipedia cannot simply accept material based on an unverified assertion like this. There is a process to follow.

First, it is not sufficient that you grant permission for Wikipedia to use your work. The website itself should state that it contents are freely distributable under the terms of the GFDL. Please be aware that in permitting reuse under the GFDL, you are granting "the effective freedom to copy and redistribute it, with or without modifying it, either commercially or noncommercially."

Second, you should contact the Wikimedia by means of an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en at wikimedia dot org (replacing "at" with the @ sign) stating that you release the material for use on Wikipedia. You shuould have a response from permissions-en at wikimedia dot org prior to including material from the site or it may be removed again for the same reason.

RESPONSE TO RRBURKE

Thank you for your thoughtful response.
I realize Wikipedia must protect itself, and I am not sure how to proceed. When I posted the photo and map, I noted correct attribution was needed (listed all details of how to do) and used the CC license.

I prepared the Sclater's copy that appears on the Cercopan Web site. You can confirm with the director (zena@cercopan.org). If need be, we can simply add a note on the profile, crediting Cercopan. But if you look more closely at their Web site, there is a list a long list of references from where the data were compiled. In addition, there only a few identical paragraphs -- Cercopan has more information on its Sclater's link than in the Wikipedia reference, and there was text on the Wikipedia page, which I left in from the original version, that is not on the Cercopan site, thus they are not identical.

I was asked by fellow primatologists to update Wikipedia to reflect current data for my research, in hopes the general public will have access to correct info. If Wikipedia is designed for accuracy, then the time I spent updating this information is justified.

UtherSRG claimed violation of COI and NOR. I reviewed those policies, and I don't see the violation, especially after I added in a note on Cercopan. The references are all listed. They cite peer-review journal articles or book sections in press (such as http://www.blackwell-synergy.com/doi/abs/10.1111/j.1365-2028.2007.00849.x). You can't do better than that. I only updated the profile because I happen to be the only person doing current work on this species. I also have most of the few photos available on the species, thus posted one of those to benefit viewers.

If you have the inclination, please advise how I can/should proceed. Otherwise, what a waste of time, effort, and potential for improvement. Thank you again.

Speedy deletion nomination of Bradley Bolen

A tag has been placed on Bradley Bolen requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Please note that assertion of permission to use material is not enough. Also, even if the copyright issue were resolved, the promotional tone of a company or personal website is likely to be unsuitable for an encyclopedia article, which requires a neutral point of view.

Article subjects need to have notability, which is not a matter of opinion but has to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject."
