December 2022[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to The Butterfly Effect, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 14:10, 19 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

We clearly see that based on the fact that Tommy, Kayleigh, and Evan sneak into see Se7en that that takes place in 1995, six years after 1989. When Evan says "seven years with no black outs", that places the present in 2002. MGPromQueen19 (talk) 03:39, 20 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
What you're saying is the very definition of original research. Firstly, I'm not sure the specific years in which the film takes place are important in any case, but secondly you're using your own observations to make inferences as to when the film is set. July 2023[edit]

Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for working to improve the site with your edit to Superman curse, as we really appreciate your participation. However, the edit had to be reverted, because Wikipedia cannot accept uncited material. Wikipedia requires that the material in its articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the article text in the form of an inline citation, and that source must mention the material in question. The sources you cited document Sands' disappearance and death, but do not make any mention of the Superman curse, and editors are not permitted to make thier own interpretations of material, since that violates WP:SYNTH.

If you ever have any other questions about editing, or need help regarding the site's policies, just let me know by leaving a message for me in a new section at the bottom of my talk page. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 16:04, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I'm sorry I thought that I saw a mention regarding the curse but I didn't. MGPromQueen19 (talk) 19:50, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
