@Amaury: FWIW, I don't think this edit is unreasonable – that's not about "episode counts", but how the crediting was done, and feel that's a reasonable application of WP:PRIMARY. So I'd argue that these kinds of edits can/should be restored... My $0.02. --IJBall (contribstalk) 20:02, 5 December 2018 (UTC)

@Amaury and Geraldo Perez: I have now left a personalized message at User talk:Filipinoman9103 about their problematic editing. I would say if they now try and add "absence counts" to the Boy Meets World season articles again, they should be reported to WP:ANEW for edit-warring/disruptive editing. I have also warned them in general about their other problematic editing. But if any of you that has any other concerns here, you may want to post a follow-up message to this editor's Talk page as well... --IJBall (contribstalk) 17:18, 6 December 2018 (UTC)
Absences within the summary are fine, of course, but even I agree that above the episode tables is useless bloat. As for the OP, I meant to respond. I don't find the whole "only credited in the episodes" they appear in to be at all noteworthy. Plenty of series do that, but from my understanding, the actors still get paid all the same even if they don't appear and they aren't credited since that is a perk of being main cast. Amaury (talk | contribs) 18:01, 6 December 2018 (UTC)
Actually, not that many series do do that – that's why I think it's notable... However, I will say lately, more and more series seem to be doing the "only credit main cast in those episodes that they appear" thing. But, 30 years ago? This practice was mostly unheard of, so Boy Meets World doing it I think it notable. --IJBall (contribstalk) 18:27, 6 December 2018 (UTC)
@IJBall: I know Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn is another series that does that—only credited on appearance. Amaury (talk | contribs) 18:39, 6 December 2018 (UTC)
@IJBall: Still at it. Amaury (talk | contribs) 01:54, 8 December 2018 (UTC)

@Amaury: Wow. Kinda forgot about that. Certainly will be on my to-do list after SITM. Thanks. MPFitz1968 (talk) 17:58, 19 July 2018 (UTC)
I just copy-edited episodes 4–10 of Raven's Home season two per my message in the latest discussion below. What do you think? Amaury (talk | contribs) 16:39, 14 August 2018 (UTC)
@Amaury: Looks good, gotta see what this Mitch character is like; he seems like trouble for Raven, Chelsea and the kids. Sorry I haven't been paying close attention to the summaries - a bunch going on even outside of Andi Mack, and Wikipedia, lately. MPFitz1968 (talk) 16:58, 14 August 2018 (UTC)
Lol, yes! Raven's Home S2 is hilarious. And speaking of Andi Mack, don't go to its LOE until after you've seen the season two finale and are ready to work on the summary. Another editor wrote one. Amaury (talk | contribs) 17:08, 14 August 2018 (UTC)
@Amaury: Too late on that Andi Mack season finale; I actually did check the summary before I watched it, not long after it was put up (but I did watch it later after it was released on Amazon). Summary didn't look too bad, but could use a little copy-editing. At least an IP spotted that the wrong middle school was indicated, which I would've gotten to after I watched the episode, but it was pretty late. (Interesting how a few of these episodes this season, with the big questions about proposals and becoming BF/GF, are ending with the "um..." response; noticed it was missing from the latest summary, but not sure whether I'd worry about it being left out.) MPFitz1968 (talk) 17:20, 14 August 2018 (UTC)

Editor refuses to follow WP:BRD on Andi Mack

Just a heads up that I've got an editor who refuses to follow WP:BRD. They thought that by waiting a while and then coming back months later, it would change things. Sorry to say that they're wrong on that. Amaury (talk | contribs) 22:33, 19 December 2018 (UTC)

And now they don't understand how things work. Until things are resolved, WP:STATUSQUO applies. I'm not reverting anymore, though. Granted, haven't ran into issues like this for a while, but I'm getting tired of these editors and their "I am right" mentality. Amaury (talk | contribs) 23:13, 19 December 2018 (UTC)

Thank You for letting me now about the reverting of my edut at Fuller House. I was not vandalizing the article but did make an edit without checking if it were accurate. Thank you making the correction and bringing it to my attention22mikpau (talk) 18:48, 6 January 2019 (UTC)

I assume you're still watching this? I've been having to deal with problematic people lately. Criticism, by its very definition, are opinions, not facts. Reception sections exist on Wikipedia television series articles and are perfectly valid to have. Amaury (talk | contribs) 19:14, 6 January 2019 (UTC)

@Amaury: Yes, I'm still watching, but I'm quite tied up across a lot of things, including replacing my current computer. So I may not be quick to respond to questionable edits, including at Zoey 101. I do agree there has been disruption regarding the removal of that sourced statement at least three times now, and I'm extremely tempted to take this to WP:RPP for semiprotection on content dispute. (I've actually been questioning that source used for the removed statement, in terms of reliability, but as I said, I've been too busy.) MPFitz1968 (talk) 19:29, 6 January 2019 (UTC)
Uh-oh. Computer doesn't like you anymore? Amaury (talk | contribs) 19:38, 6 January 2019 (UTC)
@Amaury: I've known that the hard drive has been problematic, and I'm thankful it's lasted more than three years since a diagnostic error was detected on it. But now on restarting the computer, Windows won't complete the reboot (stop error UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME), and I've needed to go thru that painful repair phase - even needed to restore the factory version, and on Christmas Eve/Day of all days. I'm not even doing Windows updates on the computer now, nor restarting again. Thankfully, I've gotten a laptop so I won't be completely disconnected from Wikipedia or the rest of the Internet (got it on Wednesday - I've been using a desktop, and plan to get a new one of those soon - figuring out how to do work on the laptop without feeling fatigued or headaches). Also recently bought an Amazon fire tablet. But a desktop computer is my main aim ... been too used to them for a lot of years. MPFitz1968 (talk) 19:46, 6 January 2019 (UTC)
@Amaury: Concerning the most recent disruptive edit at Zoey 101, I decided to append to your warning of that user [1]. MPFitz1968 (talk) 20:24, 6 January 2019 (UTC)

I've been having on and off problems with this "editor" who I have suspicions of being a sockpuppet of somebody—I don't know who, I just have my suspicions. Account was only created on November 29, 2018, but yet somehow instantly knew how many things work, as their early edits will show. I just reverted them on Hotel Transylvania: The Series over an inappropriate use of a template; plus, as IJBall has stated before, Wikipedia is meant to be more of a record, so there is WP:NOHURRY to get information correct the second something happens. What can be done is something like Crashletes, where we state the third season was planned to premiere last year in February, but that did not happen, per WP:BLUE. We don't need an entire template for that, just some additional prose in the proper section. Amaury (talk | contribs) 07:51, 13 January 2019 (UTC)

Billboard Hot 100

Look, I've been changing the title "Sunflower" by Post Malone and Swae Lee on List of Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles of 2019 to "Sunflower (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse)" which is the correct title as shown on Billboard Hot 100's website. If the dispute on the song's name change can stop, that'd be great. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blesha26 (talkcontribs) 06:50, 23 January 2019 (UTC)

@Blesha26: As is placed as a hidden note in the article, in front of the song's title, this should be decided by consensus on that article's talk page, rather than constantly seeing the title change go back-and-forth in the article. And you are right, the Billboard Hot 100 chart has the full title, with the parenthetical part (subtitle), and the entry should reflect the source ... while I, myself, don't have any preference whether it should be the full title or the shortened one. (Though, I'm thinking of enforcing the version that is stated in the source.) In any case, this back-and-forth edit warring should stop, and if it continues, I could ask an admin to lock the article for a long time to force discussion - which they'd be hesitant to do unless the warring gets out of hand. (Plus, the article would cease to be updated with info from future charts.) MPFitz1968 (talk) 07:17, 23 January 2019 (UTC)

I've been meaning to post about this since, well, you did it. (Wow, Amaury, you're lazy!) In August last year, you posted the following: User talk:Geraldo Perez/Archive 16#Question about a category regarding children's TV series. You later went through and mass-removed the category from Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, and Disney XD articles, but only from the parent articles. I don't know if you remember all the articles you went through—you definitely went through all the ones in my sandbox—but I believe that issue may also be present in the episode and character lists, where they exist. Amaury (talk | contribs) 04:00, 27 January 2019 (UTC)

It's on YouTube now, if iTunes, for some reason, doesn't work for you. Amaury (talk | contribs) 16:44, 27 January 2019 (UTC)

This didn't happen to be you, did it? I'm trying to figure out how that happened. Amaury (talk | contribs) 18:59, 29 January 2019 (UTC)

@Amaury: Definitely not. I would be wondering what happened there, too. I am doubting you added that summary part, but it might've been someone else that added it at the exact same time you were adding the viewership (which would normally cause an "edit conflict" if one edit in the same area of the article preceded yours ... perhaps a pair of simultaneous edits may not be caught so easily).

As far as the summary for "Secret Society" goes, I've been delayed on doing that, similar to the episode before, with my transition to a new computer - or actually, computers. Got a new laptop earlier in the month (first time I've owned a laptop, and am trying to get used to the ergonomics as well as using it on battery), and just got a new desktop computer running in the last couple of days (to replace the one I've been on, as the hard drive on that was starting to go). Also, I have an Amazon fire tablet which I bought right after Christmas, ahead of the laptop. So been adding more devices in the last month, which will allow me more alternatives on where I watch Andi Mack and other TV shows/movies, but also I won't completely disappear from Wikipedia, with two computers going. MPFitz1968 (talk) 19:23, 29 January 2019 (UTC)

Well, congratulations, device maniac! Amaury (talk | contribs) 19:28, 29 January 2019 (UTC)
@Amaury: Thanks. Just checked that specific diff above more closely, and it looks like the beginning part of the previous episode's summary ("I Got Your Number"). Could've simply been a bad copy/paste - I'm thinking you did a copy/paste on the viewership part, which makes it easier to update the reference info, as it comes from the same web site (ShowBuzzDaily.com). I know I copy/paste reference templates so it isn't a laborious task to add another (and a bit simpler when working with the same web site). MPFitz1968 (talk) 19:36, 29 January 2019 (UTC)
That was probably it, since I do just that. I copy the reference part and then just update the non-absolute parts accordingly (date in title, date, and access date). Amaury (talk | contribs) 19:42, 29 January 2019 (UTC)

Any ideas as to why the "I Am Frankie... the Download" title under the special section is showing up in bold? Add: Likewise for "I Am... a Gaines" under the pilot section. Amaury (talk | contribs) 04:43, 12 February 2019 (UTC)

@Amaury: First thing I checked was to make sure that the templates for both {{Episode table}} and {{Episode list}} were not tampered with - they weren't and are template protected (no recent edits to either of those templates). Then I looked at a couple of other articles with a similarity to those entries - the Christmas movie during the middle of Good Luck Charlie (here) and also a film (well there actually was more than one) during Sabrina the Teenage Witch (here). Both of those instances are using boldface as well. I also happened to look at that one episode during Girl Meets World that was between season one and two, but that doesn't use boldface... and the reason there was an episode number was attached to it, which was not the case with the GLC or STTW examples. So, it is simply because no episode number is present. MPFitz1968 (talk) 07:16, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
@Amaury: OK, I did further investigating, and the module for episode list (Module:Episode list) was recently updated, in the past week or two. Not sure what code was changed in it, but this might be something to bring up at WT:TV or WT:MOSTV if it is a problem. MPFitz1968 (talk) 07:21, 12 February 2019 (UTC)

Article title question

MPFitz1968 – IIRC, you're the one that knows the details of capitalization with article title prepositions... So my question to you is, should the article title be "Who is against Blondes?" or "Who is Against Blondes?" TIA. --IJBall (contribstalk) 17:15, 17 February 2019 (UTC)

@IJBall: MOS:TITLECAPS states prepositions with four letters or less are not capitalized. Those with five letters or more are capitalized. MPFitz1968 (talk) 17:23, 17 February 2019 (UTC)
(edit conflict) @IJBall: "Is" definitely should be capitalized as it's not a preposition. "Against" is a preposition, as shown on List of English prepositions, which under the Chicago MOS wouldn't be capitalized unless at the beginning or end; however, I think our guidelines here say to capitalize those that are more than four letters. Amaury (talk | contribs) 17:24, 17 February 2019 (UTC)
(edit conflict) OK, so "Who Is Against Blondes?" ("is" should be capitalized too), is correct. Thanks! --IJBall (contribstalk) 17:25, 17 February 2019 (UTC)

Another watcher couldn't hurt. A little late to this one, but I just finished performing a cleanup and major work on this. It looks like our fellow colleagues Geraldo Perez and IJBall are already watching this. Amaury (talk | contribs) 05:40, 18 February 2019 (UTC)

Hey, regarding this edit, the previous listed order is correct, if the two Brino twins were listed in the opening credits in an episode that aired before Flannigan was main cast credited. That's as per WP:TVCAST. FWIW... --IJBall (contribstalk) 13:48, 7 March 2019 (UTC)

@IJBall: I may have to check thru the second half of season 3, after the twins were born, but I do not recall seeing the Brino twins listed in the opening credit sequence (where the theme song is playing). There's the possibility that they were "also starring", but I'm thinking that in this case (just like the Olsen twins in season one of Full House) that they would have a "featuring" credit. (As you could probably tell, I just started getting into season 4, which is why the reordering ... I'm seeing the added names at the end of the opening credit sequence.) MPFitz1968 (talk) 16:06, 7 March 2019 (UTC)
OK, if they weren't main cast credited until later, then their "(seasons 3–11)" info needs to be changed, to something like "(seasons 5–11; recurring in seasons 3–4)" (or whatever...). --IJBall (contribstalk) 16:38, 7 March 2019 (UTC)
@IJBall: OK, did further checking of the opening credit sequence, the list of credits after the opening (where guest stars are listed), and the end of the episodes (where co-stars and featured are listed) - from the season 3 episode "In Praise of Women" to the season 4 episode "Life is Too Beautiful" (which is the last one I watched, on Amazon Prime). I found no mention of the Brino twins anywhere in those credits, so yeah the info will need to be changed. (The ones who play Sam and David Camden are uncredited throughout this set of episodes.) I'm not sure whether I'll speed up my watching of the episodes; I'd rather not at this point, but I could get even more use from my Fire Tablet by watching more shows. I usually catch one every three or four days, usually at dinner time, but I watch it on my Smart TV. Thankfully Amazon has kept the show in Prime all this time since I upgraded to that two years ago.

In going thru the credits, I confirmed that Chaz Lamar Shepherd was added to the opening credits in episode 1 of season 4, and Maureen Flannigan in episode 2. MPFitz1968 (talk) 16:56, 7 March 2019 (UTC)

I do remember the Brino twins were eventually main cast credited (last, just before Happy, IIRC). But I have no idea when that happened. I think they were toddlers when it happened, so I'm betting it was a later season, like season #5 or season #6... --IJBall (contribstalk) 17:01, 7 March 2019 (UTC)

In case you're curious, it's on hiatus, as is probably obvious by now, but not because it's just any other ordinary hiatus. They're re-shooting a bunch of scenes due to the criminal charges involving Stoney Westmoreland as they can't just keep cutting content as things will lose context. And if you're curious on what was edited in "Secret Society," see here. Amaury (talk | contribs) 04:43, 19 March 2019 (UTC)

Thanks for adding that info. I watched all of season #2 on Netflix a while ago, and meant to go back and add things like guest cast to the last 15 episodes, but I never got around to it, and then it slipped my mind... --IJBall (contribstalk) 15:48, 24 March 2019 (UTC)

@IJBall: And absences. Amaury (talk | contribs) 15:50, 24 March 2019 (UTC)
@IJBall and Amaury: If I were to do absences, that'll likely be a bit later on, since that requires watching the entire episode. (I'm just catching the first parts of the ones where I supplied the writer/director/guest star credits.) Unless you wanted to do that, IJBall. Some interesting things I picked up in that second half of the season, from what I previewed, like one of the students is related to one of the teachers, who is teaching him/her. MPFitz1968 (talk) 16:00, 24 March 2019 (UTC)

@Geraldo Perez: Need another watcher or two here. This is akin to Breanna Yde. Moner's major work has all been as an American. Add: A report at WP:ANEW is probably already justified, but it should probably be done by someone other than me. Amaury (talk | contribs) 18:18, 27 March 2019 (UTC)

Game Shakers episodes

He hasn't responded yet, but here was my message to IJBall regarding List of Game Shakers episodes: "Hello, and apologies for the lack of detail descriptions regarding the new episode of Game Shakers. Anyways, here to clear it up. Taking a look at FutonCritic regarding the episode in question, "Hot Bananas", it was originally scheduled to air on April 28, 2018, but was later however, removed. Now taking a look at Nickelodeon's official schedule, you can see that the episode in question is slated to air on April 6, 2019 at 8pm ET, and is listed as "new" (Image of episode on Nickelodeon's schedule). The final piece of this is relating Zap2it, and brings FutonCritic's April 28, 2018 listing back into attention. You are saying that we need to wait for Zap2it to update with the listing, however, it actually already has. The listing for the episode on April 6 is already there, but is however saying the episode already aired on April 27, 2018, which is clearly has not (Image of listings provided here). Due to it still thinking it did air then, the April 6 listing is currently not listed as "new", like it is on Nick's schedule. Hope this easily clears up all the confusion, and once again, apologies for the lack of description originally regarding this." Magitroopa (talk) 07:16, 28 March 2019 (UTC)

@Magitroopa: Per WP:V, the source must be present in the article to back up the content (in the event said content is challenged), and per WP:CRYSTAL, future events must be sourced. The one problem with this source with Nickelodeon's schedule is that it constantly changes, given that it is a TV listing, so it is key to archive it using an archiving service (e.g., web.archive.org) ahead of this episode. Also, it is recommended that the exact page of the listing containing the episode's title and air date/time be linked to, if that's possible. (Note that the image snapshots in your post are not acceptable as sources.) IJBall mentioned in his revert summary at List of Game Shakers episodes that the current sources in the air date column - from Zap2it and The Futon Critic - will eventually be updated, and there is WP:NOHURRY. (Regarding Zap2it, however, I'd like to refer you to User talk:Geraldo Perez#Zap2it screwup with Henry Danger on the airdates; your mention of the airdate there of April 27, 2018, I believe was April 28, 2018 at one point, just like what was reported in The Futon Critic, and subsequently "removed" with a strikethrough.) MPFitz1968 (talk) 08:53, 28 March 2019 (UTC)

@Geraldo Perez and IJBall: Will need extra attention on these today. Just like with previous series, such as K.C. Undercover and Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, there is WP:NOHURRY to put an end date, especially since Wikipedia is meant to be more of an archive after the fact. Bizaardvark has still not aired in the West Coast, and we should wait until that happens before marking it as ended, again, as per WP:NOHURRY. (Hell, if we wanted to, we could wait until a week from today to day Bizaardvark ended, but we all know newbie editors or IPs wouldn't go for that.) Knight Squad and List of Knight Squad episodes

@Geraldo Perez and IJBall: Will need extra attention on these from today onward for the same reasons as above. As such, until we hear otherwise, we wait a year, just like we have with other series. Amaury (talk | contribs) 17:47, 20 April 2019 (UTC)

@Geraldo Perez: This? It is a retweet of Sean Cunningham's tweet, who is unverified, by Ron Hart, who is verified. That counts, right? Although, of course, just like before with past series, we should still wait for both East and West Coast airings before applying the end date, per WP:NOHURRY. Amaury (talk | contribs) 17:58, 20 April 2019 (UTC)
@Amaury: I'd be OK with the first airing at least being over and not worry about waiting for the second if this became an edit conflict issue. I'd rather wait for tomorrow and not be rushing updating the article at all but that is a futile hope. The show runner should be able to speak for the show and a retweet by a verified user who personally and professionally knows the show runner would be OK for our trust. We will need to document why we trust the unverified account with a hidden note and section on the talk page. Geraldo Perez (talk) 18:24, 20 April 2019 (UTC)

This IP already looks like a problematic one, based on their Talk page. If they keep this up, we'll have to report them to WP:ANEW... --IJBall (contribstalk) 14:54, 20 April 2019 (UTC)

@IJBall: I've added this to my watchlist. Not sure if the latest edits are part of the same edit warring agenda, so I'm leaving those alone for now. Amaury (talk | contribs) 17:53, 20 April 2019 (UTC)

Disruptive IP is still at it. Considering they're getting warning message from other editors at other articles, I think if they keep this up, they should be reported to WP:AIV (first), and then to WP:ANEW (if rejected at AIV). --IJBall (contribstalk) 20:07, 24 April 2019 (UTC)

Andi Mack

why are you guys haters? you dont think the series deserves that many viewers? 134.39.167.2 (talk) 17:49, 13 May 2019 (UTC)

@134.39.167.2: We follow what is reported in reliable sources that report viewership data. What you think it deserves is just plain original research, and we cannot accept that. MPFitz1968 (talk) 17:52, 13 May 2019 (UTC)

then that means i could put 1545 for the premiere since the source on 40 has that right? http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-friday-cable-originals-network-finals-4-7-2017.html Archived 2017-04-11 at the Wayback Machine 134.39.167.2 (talk) 17:57, 13 May 2019 (UTC)

@134.39.167.2: #40 on that list is a different show, so the obvious answer to that is no. That source shows Andi Mack listed at #56, and the number reported at that entry is what is used (though rounded and scaled to the number of viewers in millions). MPFitz1968 (talk) 18:02, 13 May 2019 (UTC)

im sorry i just want my shows to do well 134.39.167.2 (talk) 18:05, 13 May 2019 (UTC)

I may need your assistance, as this isn't the first time we've dealt with this user. Amaury (talk | contribs) 01:16, 11 May 2019 (UTC)

I don't know if WP:ANI or WP:ANEW would be more appropriate, but a report needs to filed on this user as their slow-motion disruption, which actually started a couple a years ago on, I believe, List of K.C. Undercover episodes, has been going on for far too long. However, it should probably be done by someone not quite as WP:INVOLVED. Also, it doesn't help that English isn't their first language, so they probably don't even understand what they're doing. Amaury (talk | contribs) 17:18, 24 May 2019 (UTC)

@IJBall: I'm going to need your help as well. I don't know how to get through to this user whose native language isn't even English. If they're not even understanding what's being said to them—they were warned back on May 10 with an actual warning and are still being warned—then I'm sorry. They should be editing on the Spanish Wikipedia. Amaury (talk | contribs) 23:50, 25 May 2019 (UTC)

MP – I believe you have this article watchlisted?... If you do, could you please make sure that this edit doesn't get changed going forward? – I just watched the movie last night, and checked the end-credits, and this is how they are credited in the film (e.g. see also: this edit). I can definitely confirm that the character is never referred to "Trini Kwan" (the character's name in the original TV series) anywhere in the film, so the name should never be changed to "Trini Kwan" at either Becky G or Power Rangers (film). Thanks.

Also, I just did some WP:ACCESS cleanup as Becky G, so if you could keep any eye on that as well, that would be good! --IJBall (contribstalk) 23:55, 28 May 2019 (UTC)

@Geraldo Perez and IJBall: With the season and series finale being this Saturday, I'm going to go ahead and get this out now. I will need extra attention here for the usual reasons of WP:NOHURRY. We should wait until it airs in both the East and West Coasts before adding a series end date. Amaury (talk | contribs) 00:29, 7 June 2019 (UTC)

Andi Mack S3 episode order

Season 3 was ordered for 21 episodes, according to Nickandmore! Due to reshoots to remove Ham scenes, one full episode had to be "cut." See his response to me here for more detail. Amaury (Talk Page) • (Contributions) 16:05, 8 June 2019 (UTC)

@Amaury: Hmm, interesting. Still for the edit I reverted earlier, I saw no source to back it, and considering Nickandmore is WP:NOTRS, something about the full episode being "unreleased" could be reported in Production of the parent article if a reliable source comes out. And Amaury, you gotta do something about that signature (purple background with dark characters simply doesn't work). MPFitz1968 (talk) 16:14, 8 June 2019 (UTC)
Apparition11 has been helping me with that (User talk:Apparition11#Custom signature markup). I just forgot to update it. I'm still messing around with it in general and this may not be my finished product. Amaury (Talk Page) • 16:25, 8 June 2019 (UTC)

@Geraldo Perez and IJBall: I'm going to need more eyes here—or extra attention if it's already on your guys' watchlist. The series has apparently being canceled (see the I Am Frankie section on my talk page for more information), but the information comes from an unverified Twitter. Amaury () 19:22, 9 June 2019 (UTC)

Very special episodes

I just reverted here as, while it was certainly different than a typical episode, it wasn't covered in any major news sources or even promoted as such in Disney Channel's promos, unlike the Girl Meets World episodes that covered serious topics. Thoughts? Amaury • 20:09, 15 June 2019 (UTC)

Billboard Not Updating

Hey MPFITZ,

Billboard hasn't officially updated the week count yet, but Old Town Road is still number 1 and it's week 14. And according to this twitter account (which reads out updates on the chart in real-time), the song is still #1.ChipotleHater (talk) 17:33, 8 July 2019 (UTC)

@ChipotleHater: Billboard just released a preview of the Hot 100 for July 13, and it's now confirmed that "Old Town Road" is #1 for a 14th week. ([3]). MPFitz1968 (talk) 17:35, 8 July 2019 (UTC)

If you have some time, see User:Amaury/sandbox/List of Jessie characters. It's a project IJBall and I started, since a separate LOC for Jessie would be beneficial, given the size, that sort of lost its momentum, but it hasn't been forgotten. It's why I've held off on cleaning up the parent Jessie article until we've gotten that situated. Likewise with IJBall not reordering sections accordingly. Basically, if you'd like to, if you could go through and add bios for the characters who don't have any and possibly expand on others, from what you remember of the series, that would be great. I've also got a sandbox page for the parent article at User:Amaury/sandbox/Jessie (2011 TV series), but it's not complete for the aforementioned reasons. You can see the relevant discussion on the matter at User talk:Amaury/2018#"Clean up" MOS:TV project. Amaury • 19:24, 18 July 2019 (UTC)

What do we think here? Too close to The Futon Critic or Zap2it? Amaury • 17:35, 19 July 2019 (UTC)

@Amaury: The summary is obviously short and should be expanded upon. As for WP:CLOSEPARAPHRASING, it's much easier to see with a short summary, but I don't think it's that close enough to be considered a COPYVIO. Definitely avoided the creative phrasing (from the descriptions in TFC and Zap2it) like "awkward position" and "new family dynamic" that would've automatically tilted the scale toward a COPYVIO. HI

Hi MPFitz1968,

Can i please edit Ally and Austin episode guide please Thanks Cneeds — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cneeds1390 (talkcontribs) 16:55, 21 July 2019 (UTC)

@Cneeds1390: You are free to edit any article you wish, if it allows you to. Keep in mind that making edits similar to what you did at List of A.N.T. Farm episodes (which I reverted) are likely to be reverted again. Removing the content that you did, including the season episode number column, has been challenged, and you will need to start a discussion on the affected article's talk page, or the talk page of an editor who reverted you. You need to explain why you are removing this content, and gain WP:CONSENSUS for this kind of change. Note that an WP:IDONTLIKEIT reason, which I'm gathering from your edits, is not likely to be met with a favorable response. Is there a Wikipedia guideline or policy that backs your reason for removing the content? MPFitz1968 (talk) 17:16, 21 July 2019 (UTC)

Not on my desktop right now. Writer: Terri Minsky, director: Paul Hoen, guest stars: Amber, TJ, Marty, and Kira. Amaury • 00:22, 27 July 2019 (UTC)

@Amaury: Added the writer and director credits for the moment. Are those all the guest stars (in order)? No absences? MPFitz1968 (talk) 00:32, 27 July 2019 (UTC)
Yes. And no absences. Amaury • 00:34, 27 July 2019 (UTC)
(edit conflict) Hmm, is that director name correct? I see Paul Hoen in other episodes. MPFitz1968 (talk) 00:35, 27 July 2019 (UTC)
Yes, it's Hoen. Phone autocorrected. Amaury • 00:36, 27 July 2019 (UTC)

Disney Channel

Now that both Stuck in the Middle and Andi Mack are over, are you planning on replacing them with something else current to write summaries for? Raven's Home would be a good one since that could really use episode summaries and well-written episode summaries for the seasons that already have them, and I know that's a series you like. Fast Layne could also use episode summaries, but these are only suggestions and it of course depends all on what you want to do and what you like. PS: We still need a summary for the Andi Mack finale. Amaury • 17:11, 15 August 2019 (UTC)

@Amaury: At this point, I'm not sure where my focus will turn to next regarding episode summaries for TV series. (Note: I do have a rough draft of the Andi Mack finale summary, just haven't sifted thru the details that I wrote down yet; I have watched the finale several times now - not a bad ending.) While I'm not sure what new TV series, or movie, I'll focus on - I still have Amazon and Netflix to watch some old stuff - I am pondering Disney+ in the fall (launches November 12), though I'm not certain how much of the current Disney Channel programming I'll be able to access then. I am hearing the entire library of TV series from Disney Channel, XD and Junior will be available, as well as films, but I'm thinking at least some of that will be in rotation, like with Netflix and theatrical releases. Certainly their vault of old movies would be one of those probably "in rotation". Hard to say, but I'll be keeping up-to-date about this over the next three months. As far as doing summaries for shows like Raven's Home before then, there is still Disney Now, but without a cable/instant TV subscription to Disney (from Comcast), I have limited access to their content there. MPFitz1968 (talk) 23:07, 15 August 2019 (UTC)

Mech-X4 lead dates

This one's tricky because of the Disney Channel -> Disney XD move after five episodes. If you can think of a better sentence for the dates, feel free to tweak it, but that is what I went with. Amaury • 15:14, 21 August 2019 (UTC)

User:Kappacheeno813 has drastically altered the Judith Barsi article

Can you revert the edits and sanction them if others haven't yet done so? Paul Benjamin Austin (talk) 17:22, 9 October 2019 (UTC)

@Paul Benjamin Austin: At the moment, I'm not inclined to revert this edit. One problem is a source, the Los Angeles Times, has limited me from viewing their articles (subscription required after reaching a small monthly limit of accessing articles as a non-subscriber), so my verification of what was added is significantly limited. Seeing their talk page, I see I did warn them for a copyright violation, after I reverted an edit where they used a YouTube video (whose content didn't belong to the uploader) as a reference. Is there anything about the user that I'm not aware of (history of disruptive editing, sockpuppetry, etc.)? MPFitz1968 (talk) 17:47, 9 October 2019 (UTC)

Grammar help(!)

MPFitz1968 – grammar question for you! Is it: Beth Allen is not credited as main cast for the thirteenth through the twenty-seventh episode of series 3.? Or is it: Beth Allen is not credited as main cast for the thirteenth through the twenty-seventh episodes of series 3.? Assistance from WP:TPS is also welcome. Thanks. --IJBall (contribstalk) 19:35, 20 October 2019 (UTC)

@IJBall: Not sure on this one, could possibly be either singular or plural. The complication here is the second "the", where there's the implied word "episode" after "thirteenth", in which case the "episode" after "twenty-seventh" is also singular. Without that complication ("for the thirteenth through twenty-seventh..."), it's straightforward plural. MPFitz1968 (talk) 21:29, 20 October 2019 (UTC)
You're right – the best way to solve this is to go with: "Beth Allen is not credited as main cast for the thirteenth episode through the twenty-seventh episode of series 3." I'll do that. Thanks. --IJBall (contribstalk) 21:39, 20 October 2019 (UTC)

Your Revert(s) on Waverly Place 3rd Volume

Back on 9/30, I had done a duty as 47.16.146.238 on WOWP's third season by erasing the middle name for the episodes that Juliet (Bridget Mendler) was featured in. A few hours later, when I came back to check on the aforementioned third season it came back really fast explaining yourself about the names per credits. Geraldo added the middle name which is Claire despite having two bytes deleted on season 4. And TBH, this was all done in good faith even though this was how she was credited on said episodes.

Sources needed for Days of the Year pages

You're probably not aware of this change, but Days of the Year pages now require direct sources for additions. For details see the content guideline, the WikiProject Days of the Year style guide or the edit notice on any DOY page. Please do not add new additions to these pages without direct sources as the burden to provide them is on the editor who adds or restores material to these pages. Thank you. Toddst1 (talk) 02:58, 11 November 2019 (UTC)

@Toddst1: Will adding the source directly after the birthday in the lede suffice? Because in the Christina Aguilera page, the source in question that had me deciding to add it back was not found in the lede, but in the "Life and career" section (subsection "1980–1998: Early life and career beginnings"), which does support her birthday:
If the citation needs to also be added to the lede, as your message is implying, I'd have no problem copying the citation there, although MOS:CITELEAD does allow latitude in not doing so, as long as the citation supporting the content is within the body of the article. The only other issue is whether the source is reliable, and I don't doubt that People magazine is (also backed at WP:RSPSOURCES). MPFitz1968 (talk) 08:05, 11 November 2019 (UTC)
The reference goes in the WP:DOY article. Toddst1 (talk) 19:31, 11 November 2019 (UTC)

@Toddst1: While I agree that the source should be placed in the most convenient place to verify this information (e.g., the DOY page) ... and I know I'm gonna be making an WP:OSE argument here ... note that most of the other entries on that DOY page (e.g., Bridgit Mendler, Katie Holmes, Billie Eilish, just to name a few ... yeah, plenty of current celebrity names with December 18 birthdays, including Aguilera) lack a citation on that page—and pretty much the case for most, if not all, of the rest of the DOY pages—yet do contain the source on their respective article pages, though not necessarily in the lede (but at least somewhere in the body of the article). Why are these citations not included on the DOY page as well? MPFitz1968 (talk) 06:52, 15 November 2019 (UTC)
Because they haven't been fixed yet. There are a few folks that are diligently cleaning up pages - slowly. Take a look at January 1 or May 11. Feel free to adopt a page and improve it. Toddst1 (talk) 14:19, 15 November 2019 (UTC)
