Blocked[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.  You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer instead to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you prefer to change your username rather than create a new account, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you.

Request reason:

We are indeed the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing in Cologne, Germany. Thats why I chose this name. I work for the Presse Office of the Institute. The German Wikipedia-Team asked the same question and I've sent them a confirmation from the Institutes email server. Would it be possible to do that too, or that you double check with the German Wikipedia Team and ask for their confirmation? Thanks!MPI for Biology of Ageing (talk) 08:35, 23 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Sorry, but the rules at the German Wikipedia may be different. We are not querying whether you are or are not the MPI. We are saying that accounts on the English language Wikipedia are for individuals only and must not appear to represent organisations (and must only be used by one person - no password sharing allowed). To edit here, you must choose a name that does not represent the MPI (or any other organisation...). Peridon (talk) 11:18, 23 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
