Peer Review[edit]

Hi, I appreciated the changes you made to the article, I think they are very important.

Summary The user is making edits in two articles about the Martian landscape. The user had a major focus on redefining the terminology of these features, specifically, changing the names of the articles to better reflect their locations on Mars. On top of this, the user has added a few sections to the "Borealis Basin" article, which is a stub.

Major Points The user's main focus is the renaming of these articles. This is an extremely important issue to fix, and the user did exactly that. In terms of the other large edits the user made--I would like to see more. I'm not sure how much there is to say about the Borealis Basin, but I feel as though the user could include sections, for instance, about the things that make up the basin, the general landscape, etc. I'm also somewhat unsure about the content of the edits. I understand why the user is talking about Phobos and Deimos in the article, but it might be something that could be included in a "main article" link instead of a full-fledged section.

Minor Points The 12th and 13th citation seem to be the same thing. They probably do not have to be two separate citations. Other than that, citations seem to be in order. The language is kind of technical, but should probably be able to understood by everyone. In the "Ancient Tsunamis" section, I'm not sure if the word "culprit" is an appropriate word to use in a Wikipedia article. Betaprice (talk) 20:45, 14 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Peer Review 2[edit]

Hi Maa0519, I am going to review your article.

Summary: The author chose to improve the article “North Polar Basin (Mars)” and “Vastitas Borealis”. The main work of author is on “North Polar Basin (Mars)”. And the author only changes a small section on “Vastitas Borealis” where there is one contradictory definition to materials in “North Polar Basin (Mars)”. Borealis basin is a large basin in the northern hemisphere of Mars and covers 40% land. The basin was postulated as result of one big impact by some scientists. The author briefly introduced the Borealis impact and its two following results and influences.

Major points: After the revision by the author, the article have a good structure and is informative now. The author has added many useful information about the “North Polar Basin”. And the tone and grammar is good as one wiki article. The major question I have is that there are absence of some information about the “Basin” which could fulfill the introduction. The materials author added are mainly about the “impact” and the formation of the “basil”. I think that author can add more materials like weather, minerals……. The article is about one geographical term even though it is on Mars. Author could introduce more information in more aspects.

Minor points: Since author decides to change the name of article from “North Polar Basin”to “Borealis Basin”, the first sentence should be “The Borealis basin, or North Polar Basin, is………..”. And the references 12 and 13 look like duplication. --Grilledrex (talk) 01:26, 15 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
