Dr. Pelton[edit]

MidgleyDJ, I don't see him as much of an academic as a Willamette figurehead. Regardless, he is a fairly prominent part of the institution... Does being President fall under different rules? I assure you that you know how this works better than I do. {{subst:Unsigned|

  • Hi Maalox - the question really is, Is Dr. Pelton, no disrespect intended, internationally reknowned? If not, then he may not meet the criteria of notability (yet) for inclusion in Wikipedia. MidgleyDJ 08:16, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • Perhaps not, although I've seen other articles for presidents with similar standings: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colin_Diver. If you see it fit to delete my article, I trust your judgement.
      • Hi Maalox - it's not up to me ;). I appreciate the show of good faith though. Cheers, Dave. MidgleyDJ

Hi Maalox -

Was just looking at the article on Dr. Pelton and was wondering if Dr. Lee Pelton meets this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Notability_%28academics%29? Being a dean doesnt necessarily make an academic notable enough for inclusion on wikipedia. Thoughts? MidgleyDJ 08:03, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Minor edits reminder[edit]

Thanks for your edit to Willamette University. However:

Please remember to mark your edits as minor when (and only when) they genuinely are minor edits (see Wikipedia:Minor edit). Marking a major change as a minor one (and vice versa) is considered poor etiquette. The rule of thumb is that only an edit that consists solely of spelling corrections, formatting, and minor rearranging of text should be flagged as a 'minor edit'. Thanks! Um, please disregard the previous reminder. You did fine by removing bogus data. Sorry. Twisted86 23:01, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
