Barnstar for good work[edit]

The Rugby League Barnstar

You have been awarded this barnstar in recognition of your contributions to the work of WikiProject Rugby League.
Great work on SL player pages, putting in the effort and making the hard yards.Londo06 11:10, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Flags in infoboxes[edit]

Hi - just a quick note to let you know that national flags shouldn't be used in infoboxes (escept maybe for international reps). You can read about flag usage at the Manual of Style - Flags. Also - are you going to finish off the stats tables you've added to quite a few pages? The headers are there but not the table. Let me know if you need any help with the syntax. Minor tweak on infoboxes[edit]

Just made a couple of minor tweaks to infoboxes added to Michael Platt, Dave Halley and Jamie Langley. The reason for this is mainly aesthetic, the most obvious one being that it shows their squad no. Just thought i'd let you know.Londo06 16:21, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox rugby league biography[edit]

Have updated the Bulls players as the Infobox rugby league biography coding seems to be locked down and that it is gonna look that way.Londo06 18:28, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oxford Wikimania 2010 and Wikimedia UK v2.0 Notice[edit]

Hi,

As a regularly contributing UK Wikipedian, we were wondering if you wanted to contribute to the Oxford bid to host the 2010 Wikimania conference. Please see here for details of how to get involved, we need all the help we can get if we are to put in a compelling bid.

We are also in the process of forming a new UK Wikimedia chapter to replace the soon to be folded old one. If you are interested in helping shape our plans, showing your support or becoming a future member or board member, please head over to the Wikimedia UK v2.0 page and let us know. We plan on holding an election in the next month to find the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board who after obtaining charitable status will start the fund raising, promotion and active support for the UK Wikimedian community for which the chapter is being founded.

You may also wish to attend the next London meet-up at which both of these issues will be discussed. If you can't attend this meetup, you may want to watch Wikipedia:Meetup, for updates on future meets.

We look forward to hearing from you soon, and we send our apologies for this automated intrusion onto your talk page!

beaver[edit]

this isn't strictly recommended within wiki policies, I guess - but I thought I'd swing by to ask you how the Bradford fans are feeling about getting Steve Menzies for a year or two next season? - he's an absolute legend down here - a true gentleman, and I know many of the younger Manly players credit him as an inspiration, and fantastic influence.. we're gonna miss him, and hope he has a fantastic time up there... have you heard the rumours that he may nip back to oz to play 'one last game' (which would give him the record, ahead of Terry Lamb) at some point in the season? I also wondered what bradford fans might think about that..... anywhoo... you've got yourself a good one, so good luck :-) cheers, Privatemusings (talk) 22:37, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

2009 on infoboxes[edit]

The reason I have removed those details is that those events have not yet happened, and as such cannot, per wikipedia rules on crystal-balling be included on the infoboxes. What I have done for the Beaver is added a line right up front stating that he is joining Bradford for the 2009 season.Londo06 14:19, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Same with Sheriffe and Worrincy (will do well for you; one of the quickest winger in SL and the fastest forward in SL) with regards to 2009. Had they been selected for the internationals this week they would still be listed by the BBC and SKY as Harlequins players as they are still contracted and insured to Quins until November. I think it is post world cup and when players go into pre-season for the 2009 season that everything is to be updated.Londo06 16:23, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ron Willey Coaching[edit]

Do you have any access to coaching stats that will tell me the win/loss record for Ron Willey when he coached Bradford in 1989-1990. My talk or else pop the stat straight onto the article. Cheers -Sticks66 14:07, 16 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

We've found all the stats on Aust coaching career [1] but there's nought (as you say) on his Bradford time from this end. -Sticks66 10:44, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of James Donaldson (rugby league)[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article James Donaldson (rugby league), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Unreferenced, Stub, Is a player who is not a first grade player, and is presumed to be one, but for now notability dosen't stand per WP:RL/N rules 2 and 9, where his notability is based upon the notability of his team, and hasn't played first grade yet. This article may be recreated if he becomes full time player.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.  The Windler talk  12:56, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Kieran Hyde[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Kieran Hyde, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Unrefereced, stub, dosent meet WikiProject Rugby league notability guidelines Rule 2 as he has played no first grade games, fails Rule 9 because notability is established based on the team he plays for and not himself. If he does proceed to full level, article can be recreated.

Tom Burgess(Rugby League)[edit]

Hi - just a few quick questions on Tom Burgess(Rugby League) - is the correct name Tom or George - the title and text are different. Also - the link for his team appears to be broken - do you have an updated one. After these fixes are made we should move the article to its proper name (regardless of Tom or George - it needs a space before the parenthesis). Thanks.  7  23:10, 12 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nationalities[edit]

It came to my attention that on the Bradford Bulls article, you've put L'Estrange down as French. Now, in five years of studying French at high school, I never once came across the town of "Sydney", nor did I see the region of "New South Wales". Preferably, don't put national flags in at all (WP:MOSFLAG), but if you insist on using them, please provide a reliable source at the very least. GW(talk) 13:28, 18 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

2010 Bradford Bulls season[edit]

Hi,

I am also updating this page so it takes a bit of weight off your shoulders. I go to every match (execpt Catalan) so I know the correct stats. PS. Are you from Bradford because I am ;) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Migitgem2009 (talkcontribs) 19:01, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Coral Stand.JPG[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Coral Stand.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 20:36, 3 April 2011 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 20:36, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
