Apologies[edit]

Hi, it's me, Piracy is no Party, I just want to apologize about the edit I made on the video game piracy article. My bad. I wanted to add more information to anti piracy measures part but forgot to cite. Next time I will cite but this time I forgot to. Thank you. About My Editting[edit]

What I am writing is absolutely correct 203.212.241.201 (talk) 04:24, 4 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there - that's untrue. You've updated several people's names, revised past cricket match outcomes, and otherwise modified articles without substantiating the change. Please move on. Mad Jim Bey (talk) 04:41, 4 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

LLLLLLLLLLL's[edit]

U Mad takin L's oh btw wtf are the goddamn rules to reversi cuz they aint in there 104.220.22.90 (talk) 20:18, 4 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you're interested in expanding the game's rule section, I encourage you to research the rules outside of Wikipedia and improve the section. Alternatively, you could open a discussion about it on the article's Talk page. However, the edits you've made don't appear to be constructive. Mad Jim Bey (talk) 20:21, 4 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Removing covid paycheck comments[edit]

As suggested, posting on your comment page. I put in an edit to remove an irrelevant reference to covid paycheck grants from the wolfram page. That is something that would apply to an enormous number of companies, and something with all sorts of similar events on taxation and grants since most companies were founded. Suffice it to say that it is not a relevant event in the history of the company, and adding in things of that degree triviality would swamp all histories for all firms. Now if Wolfram was sued by someone over it, or there was a newspaper article saying it was out of the norm - then that would be fine - but it didn't seem like that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.82.185.86 (talk) 20:42, 4 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for replying! I don't necessarily disagree with you on its relevance. Unregistered users making edits that remove large bits of text that have been on the page for a while is generally a red flag. I still think the best recourse is to post the suggestion in the Talk page of the article and, if no one objects within reasonable, proceed with the edit. If someone felt strongly enough about its relevance to include it, it's probably worth discussing before removing. Mad Jim Bey (talk) 20:50, 4 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hungarian Spectrum[edit]

Dear Sir/Madam! I asked third party opinion to solve our dispute. BTW, I am not the one, who removes reference tags from references, thus making them useless. I warned the other editor, but he/she kept doing so. You can check in the edit history, that he/she arbitrarily removed a tag.--176.77.136.98 (talk) 20:23, 5 December 2021 (UTC

The anonymous IP user just inserted this text into the article. He claims it says that her opponents felt happy about her death. The article in reality doesn't say anything like that if you understand Hungarian. This person is a malicious troll and is currently vandalizing the page of a recently deceased blogger. I implore you to stop him. --Azure94 (talk) 20:25, 5 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, both. I'm not making any judgment about the topic of the edits - that's up to you two to resolve. Please discuss in Talk: Hungarian Spectrum to reach consensus. My notes are specifically regarding the edit warring behavior that you're engaging in. You both are should be aware of the WP:3RR policy, so please proceed with caution. If you fail to reach consesnus in the Talk page, please pursue dispute resolution (WP:DR). Best of luck - I hope that you can find compromise. Mad Jim Bey (talk) 20:29, 5 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It's not just me and him. Other users have also voiced their concern about this IP editor engaging in malicious vandalism. --Azure94 (talk) 20:36, 5 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
user:Paisarepa warned user azure 94, that her death is in the article, eulogyzing is not the proper place here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Hungarian_Spectrum#Section_on_the_author's_death_and_reaction_to_it --176.77.136.98 (talk) 20:44, 5 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
the comment section in the article i inserted is, lets just say, happy about her death. see, where your eulogizing leads...--176.77.136.98 (talk) 20:33, 5 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You pretty much revealed yourself as a troll when you inserted that malicious lie about people being "happy" about her death. --Azure94 (talk) 20:36, 5 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
dude, read the comment section, if you can read Hungarian... shall I give you examples to translate?--176.77.136.98 (talk) 20:44, 5 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Please take your discussion of these edits to Talk: Hungarian Spectrum, not my personal talk page. I encourage you to focus on the content of the edits and avoid personal attacks in favor of a cooperative tone. Finding compromise will be difficult if you take a hostile tone. Mad Jim Bey (talk) 20:44, 5 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed that the owners were listed as "Buffalo bills" with the lower case "bill". A few edits back, the owner is "Erie County". Would you know what is correct? Cheers Adakiko (talk) 05:30, 7 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Adakiko Thanks for catching that! That isn't an intentional insertion by me. I think the best action is to roll back to Erie County (which I've done). Mad Jim Bey (talk) 05:35, 7 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome! I didn't think that was your intent, but wasn't sure if something else was up. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 06:04, 7 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

About Hong Kong[edit]

I hope that the wiki will remain neutral, re-edit sentences that have no source, and consider the scope of modification of the words and sentences. The part I modified is a completely subjective description and is not suitable for retention. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.166.220.195 (talk) 06:37, 7 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

talk We share that goal of neutrality. However, your edits appeared to delete an entire table of summarized opinion polls, each appearing to be properly sourced. On a article about politics, acts like that do not appear neutral on the surface. I recommend discussing your recommendations for the article in the Talk page to build consensus around improvements to the article's neutrality.
