User:Manythings11/George Morton ClarkGeorge Morton-Clark – Place here your rationale for the proposed page name change, ideally referring to applicable naming convention policies and guidelines, and providing evidence in support where appropriate. relisting Andrewa (talk) 01:48, 24 June 2011 (UTC) Manythings11 (talk) 22:23, 16 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Relisting. IMO this page is almost ready, but not quite.

The lengthy quote from the artist's website is most of the content. It should be rephrased to provide the information without pushing the boundaries on the copyright of the text.

The notability claim is unclear. The article risks a speedy delete if moved to the article namespace as is. Google scholar [1] and books [2] don't seem to know him. The significance of the references needs to be made more apparent.

Hopefully this can all be done in another week, if not we should IMO refuse the RM for the moment. Andrewa (talk) 01:48, 24 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, the article is not ready. Keep it in userspace for now. Cliff (talk) 03:17, 24 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
