Copyright policy on external links[edit]

Dear Marcusaxavier77. Thank you for your contribution to Bloodhound Gang, but I'm afraid that the link to lyricwiki is not consistent with Wikipedia's copyright policy. When we add links to material on external sites, we must ensure that the site is not violating the creator's copyright. Linking to websites that display copyrighted works is acceptable as long as the website's operator has created or licensed the work. According to a March 2008 notice in their blog, Lyricwiki no longer pursues legal licensing. Like Youtube, it only removes lyrics if a DMCA take-down notice is filed by the artist. Knowingly directing others to a site that violates copyright may be considered contributory infringement. Wikipedia exercises all necessary diligence to ensure that we remain compliant with US copyright law.

If the material is available on a different site that satisfies one of the above conditions, you might want to link to that site instead. Sites such as mtv.com have been gradually increasing the number of lyrics they display legally, with proper compensation to the artists. If these lyrics are not currently displayed there, perhaps eventually they will be. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:23, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of automated file description generation[edit]

Your upload of File:Alderwood prominade.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! • Another one of your uploads, File:Alderwood inside.jpg, has also had some information automatically added. If you get a moment, please review the bot's contributions there as well. Thanks! Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 11:35, 17 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sing Along! moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Sing Along!, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. ... discospinster talk 00:01, 8 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Night Night![edit]

Hello, Marcusaxavier77. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Night Night!".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 19:52, 9 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
