Please help me with... Is there anyway I can get this declared in order to be able to edit pages again? Mariacf (talk) 14:05, 20 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your repeated additions of non-neutral, promotional material to the page have resulted in it being locked from editing by a site administrator. Since you work for HouseSimple and have not declared this, you are in violation of Wikipedia's Terms of Use and your account has been blocked. Yunshui  14:42, 20 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hi! I understand that I have previously made mistakes that I didn't know. I didn't know that I had to do a COI (which I have done now). I also know that previous edits might have been too much commercially driven. My intention if I get my user unblocked won't be editing the page in that way. If you let me, I'd only like to add two sentences about the founders and investors of the company, but not the rest of content, which I think it might be the problem. The content I'd like to be able to add is as follows: "Housesimple was first launched in June 2007 by Alexander Gosling and Sophie Cronin as an online real estate agency.[1] In June 2016, The Telegraph reported that HouseSimple received a £13 million investment from Charles Dunstone, the founder of Carphone Warehouse and Chairman of TalkTalk and Dixons Carphone, as well as from his business partner, Roger Taylor."

Accept reason:

BE sure to follow WP:COI and WP:PAID and not to edit the article directly. Vanjagenije (talk) 12:16, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have any WP:reliable source for you intended addition? Vanjagenije (talk) 21:50, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Help me![edit]

Is there any way I can declare I work for Housesimple now and get my user unblocked so I can do edits?

Mariacf (talk) 14:47, 20 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You can created an unblock request, stating your COI with your company, explaining why you know the reason for your block, and describing the edits that you wish to make if you were to be unblocked. Please keep in mind that since you are a paid editor you MUST indicate this per WP:PAID. RickinBaltimore (talk) 15:19, 20 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have stated my COI with the company (HouseSimple) and wish to be able to edit their page, in order to add some information about their History and founders.

Given your past edits to that page, I don't think unblocking you would improve the encyclopedia. Wikipedia is not a free ad space. You may want to take a look at WP:GAB for the regular process for contesting a block. Huon (talk) 18:29, 20 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi User:Vanjagenije,

As requested, here are the two reliable sources you asked for: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2016/06/06/online-estate-agent-housesimple-cranks-up-the-competition-after/ http://www.independent.co.uk/property/house-and-home/property-websites-is-this-the-end-of-the-estate-agent-rip-off-399227.html

They have already been cited within the current HouseSimple page.

You have WP:COI regarding HouseSimple, and so you shouldn't be editing that article directly. You can only propose the change on the article talk page using the {{request edit}} template, and wait for someone else to make the change. Do you agree with those conditions? I will only unblock you if you agree not to edit directly HouseSimple and related articles. Vanjagenije (talk) 19:52, 4 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi User:Vanjagenije, I agree with those conditions of not editing any Housesimple related page directly. If you unblock me, I'll just propose the change on the article talk page using the {{request edit}} template, and wait for someone else to make the change, as you suggested.

@Yunshui: Do you agree with unblocking? Vanjagenije (talk) 11:27, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
As long as the COI guidelines are adhered to, sure, why not? Yunshui  11:29, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
