Warning[edit]

Please don't add any further entries to Year articles unless they are accompanied by a citation from a reliable source. Deb (talk) 09:01, 17 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If they don't have citations, they shouldn't be added. You may have noticed that I added citations to some of your entries. I haven't finished checking them all yet, but I will remove those that are lacking in international notability. BTW, are you aware of the existence of Year in Topic articles, such as "Year in Portugal" and "Year in music"? It's better to check these first before adding new entries to the main Year article. The guideline saying that all entries in individual Day or Year articles have to have citations came in during 2018 so there are still a lot of old entries that don't have citations and a group of editors are doing their best to rectify this situation. You are welcome to help with that. It would also be good to start the missing "Year in Portugal" articles. There are lots missing from the 19th century - for example, 1839 in Portugal, 1856 in Portugal. Deb (talk) 14:13, 17 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2021 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:04, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
