July 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Hui-bin Jang may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Opting in to VisualEditor[edit]

As you may know, VisualEditor ("Edit beta") is currently available on the English Wikipedia only for registered editors who choose to enable it. Since you have made 50 or more edits with VisualEditor this year, I want to make sure that you know that you can enable VisualEditor (if you haven't already done so) by going to your preferences and choosing the item, "MediaWiki:Visualeditor-preference-enable". This will give you the option of using VisualEditor on articles and userpages when you want to, and give you the opportunity to spot changes in the interface and suggest improvements. We value your feedback, whether positive or negative, about using VisualEditor, at Wikipedia:VisualEditor/Feedback. Thank you, Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 20:11, 11 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

MYO tombs are tombs for concubines of the king not Crown princess.[edit]

It was King Gojong, the 26th and the second last king of Joseon, who ordered to change the titles of Crown Princes' tombs to "Won" from former "Myo". He found the fact of certain concubines(=Mother Concubines) being treated higher than Crown Princes was not appropriate. Which means, from 1392 to 1870(Gojong 7), the legal title of the tombs of Crown Princes of Joseon was "Myo" for last 478 years.

Currently, the dictionaries and encyclopedia define "Won" as 'the title of the tombs of Crown Princes and Mother Concubines in Joseon Dynasty' because this is the conclusion. It is why a lot of books and articles about Joseon makes mistakes.

If you can read either Korean or Chinese, you can refer to "The Annals of the Joseon Dynasty". Korean, Chinese

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
