Welcome![edit]

Greetings Mariss and welcome to the class and to Wikipedia! Working on Boston cream doughnut seems great. The article is minimal and there are lots of ways to improve it. Maybe check out Wikipedia:WikiProject Food and drink for a idea of first steps forward. —mako 20:09, 12 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

User:Marisajones/Boston cream doughnut/Cgooby Peer Review[edit]

Hi Marisa! I left a peer review on that talk page. I can link it here. I had only a few suggestions and edits. I really enjoyed reading what you added and I think you are in the right direction! Hopefully I wasn't too harsh or anything lol. I am not sure if you will be able to access it easily so I will just leave the link just in case lol https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Marisajones/Boston_cream_doughnut/Cgooby_Peer_Review?preload=Template%3ADashboard.wikiedu.org_peer_review Cgooby (talk) 02:22, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback on your draft[edit]

Greetings Marisajones! I just did a pass on User:Marisajones/Boston cream doughnut! I had one last week and thought about you and your article! ;)

I made a number of minor edits, mostly for style. You should take a look. I had a number of suggestions:

  • You should consider breaking out the new paragraphs into new sections. The first new paragraph really feels like history and I would create a history section.
  • The second paragraph feels like it should be split up. Some of the new sentences feel like they are redundant or are making claims without citation. Maybe move this into a trivia section with a bullet list? That's not typically recommended but might be appropriate for a disconnected set of facts like this.
  • I'm not sure that AngleFire qualifies as a reliable source as per WP:RS since it's basically a random self-hosting platform (AFAIK). You might want to look for other references and/or cut some of this.

Please do a pass on your article as soon as you can and then let me know. I'll give your article another pass before I give you the final go-ahead to make your article live. —mako 18:45, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Just went through and made changes- let me know if those look good to you and if I can make the article live. Thank you!
