Yelan was born in Datong, Shanxi, China, in 1977. At the age of __ Yelan moved to Beijing to attend highschool. From a young age Yelan studied ink painting, later studying oil painting, woodcutting, and... Following graduation, Yelan enrolled at Renmin University of China where she continued to study art. Yelan graduated in ____. Yelan has held exhibitions in Beijing, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Paris, Chicago, as well as a number of other cities. Influenced by such artists as Xu Wei.
