A barnstar for you!

The Barnstar of Good Humor
Hear, hear. Drmies (talk) 01:16, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

Thank you very much, though this is actually funnier. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 18:13, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

You speedy deleted the article List of cases of penis removal under the reason "‎(G12: Unambiguous copyright infringement (CSDH))". I think that's a mistake as I cannot see a list being a copyright infringement. Additionally, I contributed to that article and I know that I did not commit copyright infringement. Would you reconsider the deletion? However whatever (talk) 03:32, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

Hi However. It was a copyright violation, as you can see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Nayyurc&oldid=461370195#Copyvio . I probably should have made that clearer in the deletion log, which I'll fix right away. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 18:09, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
I am not a sock of user:Nayyurc, and I know that the editing that I made to the article were not WP:COPYVIO. Can you restore the article and I'll take care of the the WP:COPYVIO problems? What is the source of the plagiarism? However whatever (talk) 15:02, 6 December 2011 (UTC)
That's exactly what seems to have been the problem: it was all cut and paste from different pieces of info. There is not one source that is was a copyvio from, just a bunch of different pieces of copyvio lumped together. I can't restore it either, because that would have us hosting it again. I'll see what I can do, maybe I can email it to you, but that opens up some other problems too (for one, the new article musnt be a derivate work from the old article, but with the edit history deleted, there is no way to easily check that.) I'll mull it over for a bit and see what we can still do, apart from starting anew from scratch. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 18:23, 6 December 2011 (UTC)
If we cannot clearly pin point the copyvio, then the G12 criteria of "Unambiguous copyright infringement" doesn't hold and the article should be restored. Whatever is copyvio can be discussed in the article's talk page and eventually be rewritten. However whatever (talk) 19:06, 6 December 2011 (UTC)
Hi however, as you can see in the diff I provided above, the original author of the text indicates that all of it was a copyright violation of different sources. I don't quite understand how you can claim that is in any way ambiguous. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 17:40, 7 December 2011 (UTC)

Hi. In Manihara Mahadev, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Baran (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

about the deletion of adult surrealism

Martijn, i have been looking for the right place to question your suggestion of deletion of adult surrealism. While it is a minor genre of a larger movement it still is valid, even if it has a few small followers. If you interjected at the start of the Impressionists, or the colour field movement it would have been small and limited to minor shows at first. As a follower of AS i know it is a term still to be applied to a lot of art that has no title. It really is just a time issue till the art term becomes more widely accepted. Please do not act as judge and jury when it comes to art. Wikipedia has to be able to direct people to any source so long as the source exists without wasting peoples time or prey to commercial cynicism . Just because it has, at the moment, one artist and is small it does not mean it is not a valid movement. (Sundersart (talk) 23:52, 16 December 2011 (UTC))

Hi Sundersart, thanks for your comments. I don't think we should be including anything that's up and coming, but not quite there yet. This is actually carried quite broadly trough Wikipedia (see WP:UPANDCOMING). As an encyclopedia, we have to rely on secondary or tertiary sources, and they are usually simply not there for new phenomena, if its in art, or any other subject. With that, we have to accept we are usually a little behind on those subjects.
You can follow the link on your talkpage to the deletion discussion, and you can leave your comments there too: that will be the primary place to discuss inclusion or deletion of the article. Before you do so, I advice you to read WP:N. There is strong consensus on here that that should be our criteria for inclusion. If you have any other questions, let me know, Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 00:06, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

about block

Martijn,

Please do not block me again from Bradley International Airport. I live near the airport and know the service. I edit the page to reflect real world schedules and service I see. I do NOT make disruptive posts, I edit Bradley International Airport because I live near it and know what service is going on.

Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.0.228.161 (talk) 02:52, 16 December 2011 (UTC)

Hi, I'll get back at you, I'll have to review the history more closely then I have time for at the moment. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 00:07, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

That's fine. I promise I do NOT make disruptive edits to wikipedia and never will. I know alot about service at airports in the US, so I find them quickly and edit them to make people aware! :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.0.228.161 (talk) 22:11, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

Looking at back it, the block I made was wrong. So no promises or anything are needed. I don't really know what to say actually, making a 'bad block' is a pretty bad mistake, but there is very little I can do for you now other than amend your block log to reflect that it was in fact a bad block. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 22:18, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

Martijn,

I appreciate it. Please make others aware, including others who have warned me like Tofutwitch, etc. I make only CONSTRUCTIVE edits so that people are aware. I accept any apology/mistake, just make others aware that I edit with no harm intended.

Thanks!

And yeah, the above was me. Wikipedia on smartphones doesn't work as well as it should. I probably accidentally hit the rollback link from my watchlist, and I hadn't even noticed it. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 10:06, 21 December 2011 (UTC)

The part where you say I am not a gaygirl is, although it would be spelled 'gay girl', and is more commonly referred to as 'lesbian', right. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 01:59, 24 December 2011 (UTC)
