Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

I am providing citations from outside media, official city documents, or recognized institutions (e.g. museums). The Orange County Historical Society article is created on behalf of the non-profit organization by non-compensated volunteers. There is text consistent with the text used on their website because it has been vetted and approved by their board of directors. The removal of the public mission statement for the non-profit historical society does not make sense.

The content that appears to have been removed provided information about their historical archives, publications and programs. As there was a request to add more outside sources, those were added with citations dating back almost a century. I appreciate that Wikipedia needs to protect the integrity of content and avoid copyright issues. However, removing sub headings does not make sense.

We will attempt to add content and citations that meets Wikipedia criteria. It is also hoped that you recognize this is for a legitimate non-profit historical society with no malintent. The proof of license and permission for the use of their own material, which the historical society wishes to be used, will be addressed per donating copyrighted materials guidelines.
