Please don’t bite me, I’m a newbie!

I’m a university student in a Wikipedia Education class, and I’m currently learning how to contribute to Wikipedia.
I am approaching my subject in good faith.

If you have any concerns or questions, my tutor’s name is Almamo18 (talk · contribs). Thanks!

Welcome[edit]

Hello, Maryam.alavinia and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students. Go through our online training for students

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.

We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! Adam9007 (talk) 04:23, 19 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Maryam.alavinia. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Stance-taking in Presidential Debates".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Infobox requirement[edit]

Hi, I came here because I was told by your student May122789 that infoboxes are required on your students' articles. On Wikipedia, we generally use infoboxes only on concrete topics. Most articles about ideas or abstract concepts don't have them according to consensus. Since the article knowledge of the Holocaust in Nazi Germany and German-occupied Europe is an abstract concept, I don't know what you would put in an infobox, so I hope you will exempt them from this requirement. As an aside, this article is the most impressive contribution that I've ever seen from a student editor! (t · c) buidhe 14:32, 31 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, one of your students, Thabiso Molai (talk · contribs), keeps trying to add out-of-scope content to the Grand Preceptor article with the rationale that such content should remain on that page until they are graded. Please tell the relevant parties to not re-add content into Wikipedia articles for the express purpose of being graded without addressing the concerns for their removal. Such behaviour (especially reverting without explanation) is edit warring and may get the student blocked. Thanks. _dk (talk) 00:10, 2 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
