New York City's population
I'm responding to your comment on my own Talk page (since I don't like ping-pong discussions). I was using the latest (March 2011) U.S. Census estimate of the April 2010 census, which I found at the U.S. Census site. It isn't that I'm not accepting that the figures are correct, it's that numbers keep getting added to the article without *any* source, and I cannot located the figures on the FactFinder2 2010 Census website. The Oglethorpe Plan
Thank you for editing the new article. With regard to the western boundary, the charter issued by George II placed it at the "South Seas," hence my use of the term "essentially unlimited." One might also say, however, that the "Indian nations" as they were called formed a western limit (one that for a time was respected).
With regard to usage of the term "Oglethorpe Plan," the present tense is appropriate as it is a modern construct. No, the comma sets off a new independent clause ("and Union troops marched into the city at dawn"). Style books say you can omit the comma when the sentence is short ("Savannah surrendered and Union troops marched in"), but this one is longer and needs the comma for clarity. Otherwise, your edit is great. The point about Savannah's possible destruction should have been there from the beginning.Mason.Jones (talk) 17:34, 17 May 2015 (UTC)

Given that, I only said that putting the word "European" there is a bit narrow because it wasn't a restricted place for European immigration since people mainly from the old world came there. You can talk to an admin, and I might consider asking admins myself. But you still give your opinion, not on the edit, but on me which is completely irrelevant to this point. I could say that considering your lack of support for your stance that your revert was, to put it mildly, racially motivated or of xenophobic intentions, can't say for certain. Either way, you probably failed to think of the edit before you revert it back and missed that taking away European would sound more fitting due to the uncertainty of the possible origins of immigrants to Ellis island. Yes, there were many immigrants from various parts of Europe but also from other parts outside Europe. Many tend to hear of Europeans in Ellis island and wrongly associated Ellis island as a gateway for European immigration and miss that it also a gateway for other immigrants but due to associations to European immigration, tend to think only about the European immigrants and not other groups, cultures, ethnicity and so on. You failed to show how is Ellis island a European-only immigration gateway, other than saying Ellis was THE European immigration gateway. You could've used examples of laws passed permitting only European immigration or even use other articles but no, even though you've been here longer than me, you don't seem to be doing a good job yourself. You seem to be fascinated by N0n3up's recent edit warring block (which I placed), but to be absolutely frank, it's none of your business, and you should stop going on about it. I hope he learned from it (as you have repeatedly pointed out, he's a new editor — hardly likely to be "legendary" yet!), and I'm glad to see how civilly and factually he responds to your personal attacks above — losing patience towards the end, but we're all human. Edits to Russia and Ukraine
Can you take a look at Chidgk1 edits at these two articles. Think they are just new to country articles thinking that all stats need to be from this month or somthing.
