Hey you added a section a long time ago to Empires: Dawn of the Modern World called historical errors. Empires is going to be up for a GA article nomination soon, and I was wondering if you had references. If not, I may have to delete your section. Regarding Empires[edit]

Hey I noticed you made some really good edits to the article including some additions and a good rewrite of the opening campaign paragraph. I don't want to get in an edit war, and I know you have put a lot of work in this, as have I. I was wondering why you minimized the opening, though. In the peer review, Steel told me to include what you actually do in the game in the opening paragraph. I also would like to know why you deleted much of the hard work I spent adding refences to the opening section, and why you completly deleted the section on the General Patton campaign, (I also had references for that and believed it to be important) as well as the see also section. I also am a little distressed because this article is currently a good article nomination, and all the changes you made may have weakened it's chances of becoming a good article (it must be stable). I think together we can make this an even better article than it is now or ever was, but we must work together and talk about some of these changes. P.S. I would like to talk about adding some references, the General Patton section, and the see also section back in. I am only hesitant because I do not want to get in an edit war.

I am just gonna be bold and add in see also and the general patton section as well as adding back in some stuff about the opening (and will try to recover my references).

Sorry if my edits caused any problems with the article, it was a good intention. I don't know why the General Patton section was removed, probably an error of my part. Forget about what I said before. I'm sorry. I was assuming bad faith. I was just not ready for someone actually productive helping me, and did not expect that help involving deleting stuff. We can work out what should be in or out of the article through editing, and can talk about disagreements on the discussion page. I realized now that you are much better than me at adding structured sentences, fixing my horrible spelling, and cleaning up the article in general. You're not going to weaken this article. You’re probably what is going to make it pass. I'm going to work on adding some of the references and some deleted stuff I think might be helpful back in, but I'm going to need your help with making the article sound worthy of an encyclopedia. One more thing. What is your opinion on the name Richard the I of England vs. Richard the Lionhearted? P.P.S. Roosevelt does have a debatable appearance in the beginning of Operation Husky as narrator while a few ships pass by. Also, I never bothered to finish that particular campaign, so anything you can add would be nice.

P.P.P.S. Should we put Empires on hold in the good article noms?

To be honest, I changed Richard the Lionheart to Richard I of England as a preference to use the historical designation instead of the popular romanticised epithet. If I remember correctly, the historical designation was used in the campaign selection menu, but I don't have Empires: Dawn of the Modern World currently installed on my computer. If it's an issue with you, you can always change it. On a side note, do you know if Wikipedia has a policy that promotes the use of the most widely-used term ? P.P.S I wouldn't personally consider that he takes part in the integral story because of the narration during the intro cinematic though. For the campaign, it basically ends with the lad that gives you intel for the invasion of mainland Sicily (or was it Italy ?) turns out to be a traitor and O'Reilly (The U.S ranger) ends up shooting him in the complex where the Germans are manufacturing a nuclear-powered weapon. You infiltrate the complex while the Soviets are making their way towards the complex and fighting off German forces. Basically, after you shoot the traitor, O'Reilly plants explosives, escapes, and you get a nice Hollywood-esque explosion. This is loosely based on the Soviet and Allied maratoon to capture the most German prototypes (Messersmith Me-262, Mark VIII Maus) blueprints and other technology. Of course the Nazis were never close to developing a nuclear weapon; it took the Soviets until 1949 to lauch their first test missile and the American Manhattan project was funded with billions of dollars and over 130,000 employees in which the greatest minds took their share of work. (Hans Bethe, James Franck, Robert Oppenheimer just to name a few)

P.P.P.S I think it needs an overhauled syntax-wise and a little touch of professionalism to make it stand as a good article.

We can get rid of the Roosevelt line if you like. He's not really in it enough to be considered a cameo anyway. I just got really busy lately, and I can't work on it at the pace I was at before, but I'll do my best to add some changes and references back in. Also, we're 23rd on the list for good articles, so we have some time. If we get under five, I'll put it on hold. Oh, and the only reason I mentioned the Richard the I is because sometimes in the article it is Richard the I of England and sometimes it is Richard thr Lionhearted. I added some of the intro back in (so I could fully restore all the references) but any extra content you add would be nice. re:Manual[edit]

Oh thanks, yeah, I saw that and used it as a reference, but I can't use it to reference the sentence "If the damage meter fills completely or if the player loses to a competitor, the player must retire and restart the race." I have the game, and know that stuff must be in the manual, I just can't find a copy of it.
