Info[edit]

Hi, welcome again to Wikipedia.

I randomly saw your enquiry on the Help Desk and created your user page and this talk page for you. If you are intending to upload your own photos, I suggest you do so on Wikimedia Commons. Commons is a separate site from English Wikipedia (en:wp), where the copyright is valid for all wikipedia projects in any language. I'm not any sort of administrator, merely a long-time editor/contributor. My advice is: start slowly. It's not the easiest thing in the world, but everything can be undone: and there are lots of helpful people at the Help Desk. The words 'please' and 'thank you' go a very long way here. I would say it takes at least 3 months to get the hang of WP. There are a number of people with "forthright" opinions here: don't take any criticism personally, or be put off by 'insistent' attitudes of others.

As suggested at the Help Desk, I would suggest creating meaningful titles for each of your photos. Spaces are allowed, and longer descriptions are preferred over cryptic ones.

Once you have uploaded an image to Commons, it can be referenced in a WP article with
[[file:My picture.jpg|thumb|Suitable caption]]

In my personal opinion, Wikipedia's own search function is relatively useless, it may be easier to go to e.g. Google and enter, for example
wikipedia commons upload images etc. Very best of luck here, MinorProphet (talk) 14:54, 9 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
