Welcome, McTodd! Very interesting contribution you made to the Flying Elephant article! And very, very nice pictures! :o) Could you possibly put them — and, needless to say, any other of WWI vehicles you would like to add — in WikiCommons also? There's a number of articles in the wiki's of other languages that would benefit greatly from their inclusion! Flying Elephant[edit]

And now again :o). Thank you for your compliments! The existence of such a gorgeous site as Landships couldn't escape my attention and I even have had the privilege of corresponding with some of its regular contributors, mainly about French tanks — of which subject I know a bit; sadly my knowledge of British armour is mostly limited to recent publications, so I lean very heavily on David Fletcher in my articles. I've uploaded the picture to WikiCommons. The problem is often that one has to log in again (and fully register if for the first time) after having gone to the WikiCommons main page, even when you came from the Wikipedia one and you've already logged in there, and only then click "upload file". After that the procedure is the same as on Wikipedia. Don't forget to indicate the category (come to think of it, I just did myself :o), e.g. "WWI tanks" or whatever is applicable. The tidying was done by Mel Etitis, who, as an Oxford philosopher, is used to making reality seem more ordered ;o)--MWAK 10:41, 15 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Big Bertha[edit]

That last change you made may need some work. I think the word 'incorrectly' at the beginning needs to be removed. The last section sounds argumentative. Would you consider working on that second part about the other Krupps gun, please? and would you mind explaining why 'big bertha' is incorrect regarding the other guns? Thanks. Hi Pedant (love the name!). You're right, I shall re-word my comments about the 'incorrect' usage of the name, and clarify its application. Problem is, it runs the risk of becoming a complete re-write. But I shall see what I can do reasonably quickly first, and build on it over a little time.
