February 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm Excirial. I wanted to let you know that I removed an external link you added to the page Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, because to me it seemed inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thanks, Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 21:44, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology with this edit. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate may links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Lugia2453 (talk) 21:55, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology with this edit. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you. Lugia2453 (talk) 21:58, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology. Lugia2453 (talk) 22:00, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There are a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:

Agha Hasan Abedi (AHA) Auditorium[edit]

I moved it back to the subsection as it is a facility per se. Left the 'location' section on top level as you did. --lTopGunl (talk) 13:44, 24 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 05:23, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
