Ekin Cheng filmography[edit]

I really admire your attempt to put his entire massive filmography into tables. Kudos. Pandacomics (talk) 03:17, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your encouragement. Anekin and I wanted to bring the page in line with the Chinese version. I will add more references in due course--Meilinjade (talk) 05:02, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the message about the above. I don't think the article can be saved, or should be, it's an unencyclopedic, fancrufty list as stated in the PROD notices. If the PROD is contested it will end up at Afd. Some things, like lists of products and endorsements, just don't deserve their own articles.  – ukexpat (talk) 02:34, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your clarification. Do you think a line in the main page along the lines of " has been asked to endorse a number of products the most notable being...and add one or two of the most significant...might placate the author? I should point out that the Chinese Page includes these endorsements ( they call them 'advertisements') as they are a significant part of Ekin's professional life.--Meilinjade (talk) 02:42, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I was going to suggest something like that. Sounds like Chinese WP has a more relaxed notability policy! – ukexpat (talk) 04:29, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for reverting your recent experiment. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. In the future, please do not experiment on article pages; instead, use the sandbox. Thank you. NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 03:47, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I really am trying to do this, however, sometimes even though it seems to work correctly in the sandbox, it doesn't look how I envisioned it on the main page. Please be patient, I'm still finding my way around Wikipedia. I am grateful for the help of veteran editors.--Meilinjade (talk) 03:02, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I will always be willing to help you if you need help finding your way around Wikpieda. Please, don't think of that warning as an admonishment, but more of as a friendly reminder. If you need help, feel free to ask me. NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 13:50, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Stormriders Article[edit]

Speedy deletion of Stormriders[edit]

A tag has been placed on Stormriders, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. MastaFighta (talk) 05:24, 19 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
