Hi Memming;
WOW! I'm impressed with your résume! I almost solved a 'cube once. 1 square away. Do you do flash anims? I do. I learned a little BASIC but not much. IF you want to respond THEN you may click here to do so. I am a first time Wiki-user. I'm not too great at Wiki script.

Memming, in regard to the AI paper, it could be very subjective as to what has or hasnt been accepted by the scientific community, technically i dont feel confident enough to judge its legitancy myself... but it has been presented so it has had some review. I think the submitter got of to a bad start the way he put his information in wikipedia, and perhaps people are objecting to that, which is why i have been trying smooth things over a little. I have wondered if the content is important enough to be mentioned in the AI page, but not confident enough to change it or remove it myself. If you feel then strongly then i wont revert it if you change it, but i wonder perhaps if claiming original research is a sneaky way of objecting to the content rather than the reference. Speedy deletion of Balayage operatorr[edit]

Please do not move pages to nonsensical titles. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to learn more about moving pages, please see the guidelines on this subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Thank you.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. Initial context-setting[edit]

I think the words "In potential theory,...." fall short of informing the lay reader that mathematics is what the article is about. Writing "In algebra,..." or "In geometry,..." or "In number theory,..." is enough, but probably most lay readers have not heard of potential theory.

Accordingly, I edited balayage operator to say "In potential theory, a mathematical discipline,..." Michael Hardy (talk) 22:50, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cauchy-Schwarz inequality[edit]

I note on July 25, 2011, you edited the article Cauchy-Schwarz inequality with the note: "reverted the wrong proof by User:Chinju back to 421047018 version". Out of curiosity, what was wrong with the proof I had added? -Chinju (talk) 08:07, 7 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi Chinju. I thought the proof was circular, because I thought Pythagorean theorem was a consequence of Cauchy-Schwarz inequality. However, after carefully reading your proof [1] again a couple of times, I realized I was wrong (about the proof being circular). I apologize for my quick undoing. I think your proof is worth being presented as a separate 'alternative proof' section. --Memming (talk) 23:17, 7 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • Ah, alright. Thanks for the explanation! -Chinju (talk) 08:59, 8 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Fruzz'ul c'a muddica.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Fruzz'ul c'a muddica.jpg, which you've attributed to Francesca Spedalieri. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 10:46, 27 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
