License tagging for Image:Hailey Anne Nelson cropped.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Hailey Anne Nelson cropped.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 17:05, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks, did I do it right? I own the photo. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Memphismom (talkcontribs)

And no, you didn't do it right. You must have a proper license tagging for the photo. And you didn't sign your post above. Even though it is your talk page, you must still sign your posts on any talk page using four tildes (~~~~) so other Wikipedians know who posted it. HyperSonicBoom 02:11, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image tagging for Image:Dobie and Hailey Anne Nelson.jpeg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Dobie and Hailey Anne Nelson.jpeg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Did not mean to edit these two post. Just learning. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Memphismom (talkcontribs)

List of people by name[edit]

_ _ I've done an edit that accomplishes what you should have been aiming at in your half-hour of reckless edits to 6 pages in the LoPbN complex; i've also reverted those edits to the respective pages' former contents.
_ _ Wikipedia:Introduction is a good starting point for what you need to know to edit successfully here. For instance, a few clicks from it will lead you toward Wikipedia:How to edit a page#Character formatting, which explains (7 rows of boxes down, at "Commenting page source") why the revision you produced at List of people by name: Ha showed no effect from your changes.
_ _ You may want to wander a bit within LoPbN, learning how it is supposed to work, and please view it keeping in mind the fact that there are tens of thousands of names already on the list. No one could imagine you had found, on any of the 6 pages you edited, the right place for a Nelson (or even Hailey) entry, in light of that, even if they refused to read the instructions on pages like List of people by name: Ne.

Archives/Sign your posts[edit]

Hello again. I see you have left me a message on my talk page, but it has been deleted. The reason why is because that was an archive. You are not supposed to edit archives, as it states on the header.

Also, you did not sign your post correctly. Sign your posts using four tildes (~~~~).

Please look at the introduction page to know how to do things on Wikipedia successfully.

And the reply: I don't even know how to license images correctly myself, so I don't upload any.
